I actually like the prospect of this, Wheater and Hunt the new White and Foster partnership. Just need to make sure we have some fullbacks with pace.
No thanks.

So what is your point of view?
I think Darlofan97 has summed it up perfectly accurately.

Part-time football is not a 'critical local service'.

One way or another the season had little realistic chance of being completed when it started. Looks like this could be the stopping point.

When he plays a midfield three of Wheatley, Hatfield and Holness we will be a different side. Let's hope Holness is fit enough to start for the weekend.

That's a huge blow for him. Laing and Storey would be my central defensive pairing.

I think it's time for our league to admit defeat on this season for a number of reasons. The new virus strain, which transmits so easily, has now ramped up the dangers of players training, travelling and playing so frequently, especially when you consider one-third are asymptomatic and there is no ...

Disagree. Laing is far from out of his depth. My first choice central defensive duo would be Laing and Storey.

Re: Brackley v Darlo

How we are allowed, or even expected to travel down to Brackley tomorrow and Weymouth in a couple of weeks during a National Lockdown is absolutely absurd. Agreed it is bizarre. More than bizarre. It is stupid. Either we are in a national lockdown, which I 100 per cent agree we should be, or we are...

It's usually the cause than the outcome. A head to head collision at pace absolutely. An innocuous looking fall into each other not at pace then rarely so. I see you guys went for the full 48 hours argument as opposed to the cheaper 24 hours I left the building at 2.34 ;) Thank God we will have a g...

Re: Away to Bristol rovers

I don't think it was a 6-0 game. Four observations: 1) A great shop window for our players today not taken. Charman didn't turn up. What a wasted opportunity for him. 2) There has got to be an end product to Darlo possession. 3) If you don't shoot you don't score. 4) It's now so important who score...

Looking forward to this one with a real sense of excitement. Still massive underdogs but not no hopers by any means. Interesting to see that the 3 teams from NLN who have made it to Round 2 are all struggling with their league form. Brackley and Chorley both only won 1 out of 7 and below us in the ...

I'm still annoyed brackley town have been chosen ahead of us as tomorrow's live match even though I have been criticized by certain people. The midfield look a bit weak if we lose one of Wheatley, Holness and Hatfield. Two and we're in deep doo-doo.
This is obviously our best midfield formation - but remember we managed at Swindon without one of them.

If (and who knows) everyone is fit (apart from Liddle), then I would go for this starting line-up:

Saltmer, McMahon, Hunt, Storey, Watson: Wheatley, Holness Hatfield; Rivers, Campbell, Charman

Atkinson at CB if Wheatley is fit surely
If that is the choice then the question must be asked, what is Laing's purpose? He is a specific centre back and if he is not going to play there when we have an injury to one of our regular partnership, then when is he?

I would go with Laing.

Hatfield, Wheatley and Holness is our best midfield. Maybe Wheatley is injured or unavailable today, I don't know.

Reid would not be in my starting line-up. Not today, not next week, not next month.
