Re: Marcus Maddison interview in the Non League Paper

Wholly deserved. I’m not sure I like this ‘mental health card’ stuff btw. Lots of people do have very genuine mental health problems. Marcus Maddison may even have at different stages. It’s not really related to this thuggery though. The guys an absolute cretin. Most young people would kill for the...

Aaron martin gone to south shields
Is Martin instead of Beck?
Not sure. They have got another player from Gateshead on loan too. Martin tried not good enough but national north is his level

Re: Marcus Maddison interview in the Non League Paper

Think I'm sadder for the 60-year-old woman he punched, to be honest. The guy is clearly a moron. Completely agree, whilst the mental health card will be played to defend his awful actions, what about the poor victims mental health! No smypathy from me, lock the basted up, see how much of a hard cas...

Re: Echo casting doubt on plans for new ground

Looking at this story has reminded me just how abysmal the Echo website is, the comments WTF! Some of the articles online look like they have been written in four minutes or less, often with mistakes and simple spelling cock ups. There are cheapo rubbish stories, like the “see what 50p coins are wo...

Re: Echo casting doubt on plans for new ground

Must be a good 5 year since i passed the arena and even longer since i went inside but is it just a case of looking little tired or been so bad it wont get a safety certificate? Surely the rugby club need one regardless of what level they play at

Re: Echo casting doubt on plans for new ground

Read the article which says the ground is planned to be between 5-8k capacity which seems adequate enough yet that new darlington united in wearside league are going to play at a 25k ground (the arena) how on earth can they make that pay and create even a half decent atmosphere

Re: Best Darlo Loan XI - Thread

I think you're confusing Olivier Bernard with someone else, EDJOHNS? He was outstanding for us. I wasn't there, but I'm pretty sure he scored a wonder goal for us away at Torquay during his ten game loan spell with us. The performances I saw him put in at Feethams were excellent and it was obvious ...

I see the Uggla family have taken over 51% of the shares in York City. Remains to be seen how they will make good their promise of " The sky is the limit". With previous owners the fans agreed "this guy's the limit!" Never heard of them, they the australian lot that own the rugby club Head of famil...

Re: Club ownership

Reading about the Uggla family and the situation YCFC are in makes me glad to be a Darlo fan. York City might just become a plaything of a foreign billionaires wife and son. I mean - it might work out, it might not, who knows - but the everyday York fan will have no say in it and will just be a vic...

No one at gateshead has a clue either. As martin was already on a 2 year contract until its stated otherwise hes still a gateshead player. Not heard of any other intrest in him. Personally i dont think gateshead will be driving a hard bargain, would be good to get him off the books to free up money ...

Martins not done alot for gateshead and even though hes on a two year contract im sure a mutal agreement could be reached between all parties. Would be good to have him off the wage bill and he i think national north could be his level.

Ive not got a clue what national north players get but surely those at alot of clubs especially on 4-500 quid a week wont have 40 hour a week day jobs Don't imagine so.
