Re: Atkinson and Gregan gone
Am I missing something here? Why was MG allowed to be DFC manager for the last 5 years and a director at the MGFA? Isn't that a conflict of interests? Why would moving to York make any difference? Sorry if I've missed anything obvious. It's more that Atkinson and Gregan were employees of his. It ri...

Re: Atkinson and Gregan gone
Probably the bigger question was why did the league allow MG to become manager of another club and create the conflict of interest in the first place. He should have been the one asked to resign, not Brian Atkinson. Mr Tibbs - The answer lies in the title "Martin Gray football Academy" Gray is the ...

Re: Atkinson and Gregan gone
All this talk of "At least we've done due diligence." Why wasn't this done on Sunday? The rush to appoint Atkinson has made us even more of a laughing stock. They'll wind up at York. Why was Gregan happy with the length of his deal on Sunday but not five days later? Sent from my SM-A520F using Tapa...

I probably will - got to make sure we get everything out in the open about all of this and don't have any nasty surprises waiting for us.
Like you said I'm sure many others will ask the same sort of questions, but the more who do the more likely it is that we'll get all the answers.

Re: York City Transfer Targets
Perhaps, being as we are a fan-based club, there should be a referendum for all of the shareholders on all the key decisions . for example how much we would accept in compensation or how much players should be transferred for? True democracy or just a pipe-dream?? That's a pipe dream. We have to tr...

I don't care if they're volunteers, they'll have dropped a massive bollock and should explain themselves. (IF this is the case of course) Volunteers do their best with the advice they get. The reason why many qualified people like me won't volunteer is attitudes like yours. It's equally the reason ...

Re: Compensation from Gray breaking contract?
For me the main thing the board did wrong was to trust Gray. They, like most of us, believed he had the best interests of the club at heart. How wrong we all were. Not sure which Board you are referring to: the FC Board or the DFCSG one. Because I can assure you, he was not trusted by all members o...

Could it be to do with other work commitments? I don't know what the training arrangements are, but perhaps one normally attends one session, and one the other? I have no issue with it really. The proof will be in the results. Me either. Might work well at this level to have a management team... le...

So, basically he wanted yet more money, it wasn't forthcoming (obviously, the last two gates were 1,200!) so he split. And he just happened to resign and York just happened to contact him later that day. I'm having trouble believing that one. We're just a laughing stock anyway. And yet, earlier in ...
