Re: Bishops Stortford road closures
Call out for the fans yesterday, good turn out on a very hot day, and they supported the team till the end. BS, we're the worst team I have seen this season, and we lost to one mad defensive moment of panic at the back. Not sure on the team selection for the temp management boys, Hazel has been off ...

Re: Alun has been sacked
97, not just on the games but the toxic atmospheres generated by Watson with the fans, which I think I mentioned., but no I would not want him, but that is my opinion, others may have a different opinion which I am more than happy to accept.

Re: Alun has been sacked
Not Watson for me, watched a few of the games at York when he was there, he was given loads of money to spend and football was poor in the games I watched, soon lost the fans there with his pre and post match interviews and spats with fans at the games. Nor Gray, never bought into the budget bit of ...

Re: Alun has been sacked
That will be great news, information was from our lasses son in York, who usually is fairly reliant. Still looks like he was talking tosh this time given the above. I hope he was talking tosh

Re: Alun has been sacked
Finney Barnes has been recalled by York, a pity, thought he was our best player of late, means we have no play makers in the team now, was hoping he was staying.

Re: Alfreton V Darlington
Talking to a few York season ticket holders, they thought he was excellent in the pre season games he played, and surprised he was not in there starting line up, pity we didn't have him signed up for longer.

Re: Brackley
In the first half, I thought it was poor football being played, team looked confused about positions in midfield, and wingbacks. But team worked hard and great goal. Second half what a change, we were playing good football and looked dangerous there keeper making a couple of outstanding saves. Hatfi...

Re: Scunthorpe Away 15/08/23
Last night was not brilliant, but not as bad as some paint it, the majority of the team worked there socks off against a good team that has recruited well with a big budget,(which they may not have had as I was told they were delayed in paying there players this month). In the first half we matched ...

Strange how we see things different, after a slow start I thought Lawler grew into the game and started winning his fair share of headers and worked hard.

Re: Curzon crowd
Today it was I thought, defence frail still but would create scoring opportunities. First 20 min we were not at the races, and team did not look like they had played together, (different teams and formations in pre season?), , but matched them after that, few goal chances whole of first half, but so...

Re: Season 23/24
It is a pity that there is not another game as the team could do with at least playing together with the final first 11 playing in the preferred formation before the season starts. All the pre season games to now have not been able to play the "best 11" in a settled formation yet, so to hit the firs...

Re: Meeting with board
As 97 has said, I usually delay till when there is a real slow down and my thinking being I hope a little kick by a few would start the ball rolling again, with a bit of positive news. Reading this I may be wrong in my thinking therefore I may be stupid as well 97 (mind you a few of my mates would s...

Re: Meeting with board
Sorry Andy P, that is not what I meant at all, I know that times are hard, and there will be lots of brilliant fans who are not in a position to contribute and that definitely does not make them any less a passionate fan, it was more about the individuals and the club may be holding bits back to enc...

Re: Meeting with board
Baron, I am not sure about your hypothesis, if all the details were out now there is nothing to boost the BTB in the crucial final weeks. It may just be that the board are playing a very canny strategy that delivers good news once the BTB slows down after an excellent start from fantastic fans. I ex...

Re: Who stays and who goes
I'm not sure the argument on here about AA and comparisons is about keeping AA or not, but if you look at York and Hartlepool, keeping changing does not always bring your desired outcome. Need to be careful what we wish for.

Sorry OG, understand where your coming from but I will be going, was going by train but hoping supporters bus has space on now otherwise driving. Last game of the season, still a mathematical chance of play off's and the very last chance for the players to give us something to cheer, (unlikely I kno...

Re: Who stays and who goes
This is a difficult position for AA, he has been unable to motivate or organise this set of players and therefore they are a relegation team on current form so a fair few players are needed, does he go for wholesale changes?. For me we need some leaders on the pitch who are vocal and experienced eno...

Re: Darlington v Curzon Ashton Tuesday April 18th2023
In the cold light of day, and I am as disappointed as any one to watch what the team has turned into, I am not sure that the call for AA to go is the right one at this time, still 2 games to go,(and yes I know we will probably lose both, and I will be there at both as a final fare well to the season...

Re: Darlington v Curzon Ashton Tuesday April 18th2023
We had a few battlers in the team tonight, but very few, too many have just given up. Several players at times arguing with each other. We don't have a plan and organisation, I realise that there is little time to work with the team but we have experienced players who should be able to organise dur...

Re: Club Statement
Think this is an excellent statement from DJ, let's us know he is concerned and listening to the social media, and that he needs to talk to AA and DH. I would assume for several things, where the management is mentally at the moment, (they must be going through some turmoil with not being able to tu...

Re: Another poor day…..
I don't think there will be many fans who would have complained about the 2 year contract given to AA at that time to be honest. DJ has and is doing a brilliant job to be honest. While I am not defending AA here, it may be the pressure has got to him as well as the players. Clearly something wrong i...

Re: Brackley V Darlington
Listened on the radio today, after making late decision not to go. I believe we have some good individual players, but maybe not as a team currently. All other teams seem to be able to pass to each other, know where there players are without having to look up and around first, where we hit and hope ...

Re: Darlington V Bradford PA
Poor again from the team, plenty of effort but little in organisation, quality, confidence and belief in themselves. Very little going through midfield, but teams know we have 2 midfielders and play through us, other managers have worked that out. Confidence is low and to be honest we are currently ...

Re: Banbury vs Darlo
Will be interesting to hear what AA say on this, Telford beat them, and think they have taken 1 point in the last half dozen games, and by the sound on the radio that we were only just deserving of a point. I know it is 3 games away in a row, but opportunities missed is a worry. AA said about Blyth ...

Re: Kettering v Darlington
I didn't go today as I thought we would struggle to win as we don't have a team that has that mental and physical strength and belief to deliver against poor strong direct teams. If we do get promoted we will meet those teams every week so would be a difficult year ahead if we do make it (never mind...

Re: Leamington v Darlo
I have to say listening to that, I could not understand why AA put on another centre half and took off lambert. The centre half's were new playing together but doing OK, then had to re- organise, so little time to adjust for the new partnership, plus gave up midfield presence. Last 3 games against b...
