Re: Fixture backlog
A successful run in the Trophy would, of course, add to the pressure. Three games a week occasionally?

Good news for today: despite not playing, we can’t fall more than one position down the league table (groan).

I'd be happy with an Altrincham v Boston final, by the way this isn't a prediction!!!“
You must make non-predictions more often, Pete.

Re: Today's results Saturday February 8th 2020
Statistically, I think we have good grounds for play-off optimism. OK, we can expect to lose to Boston tomorrow, but 8 of our remaining 13 games are against teams currently below us in the league. We have a 'good' trio of games near the end of the season - Curzon, Kettering and Bradford. Perhaps the...

Don't think anyone has yet mentioned that we have a mid-week fixture beforehand (Kidderminster), whereas Walsall do not. Might help, on that score, to have a Sunday game.

A friendlier team on the coast, in the shape of Whitby Town, would be a nice, local draw. We could even win!

Re: Gloucester V Darlington
Important we don't expect too much, or too little, from any game this season. There will be downs and ups. We are not going to gain promotion. We will not be relegated. Middle of the pack by April.
As for this game, my gut says we will narrowly lose out... but, perhaps, that's expecting too little!

Well, Saturday is hear, and we shall soon know AA's views on who plays where. I simply want to say what an excellent thread this has been to read, with different views put over in a way that respects what others think = kind of "OK, you see it that way, but I see it this way because...". Perhaps tho...

Shame the forecast looks horrible for Saturday. Likely to put many off, if it rains as predicted. Gloomsters (sorry for the political in word!) might even suggest the game could be off because of a waterlogged pitch.

Didn't want to muck up the serious "Sticky" thread about team players, so apologies for posting here. Woke up this morning, after a kind of dream/nightmare. Don't know if it is still possible to invest, but a few payments went through yesterday (1st June) - to push the total to over £103,000. So, if you meant to put something in but didn't get round to it for some reason, perhaps you could still try...?

Lots of relevant things said in this thread, along with the inevitable swings from "He must go" to "Brilliant", when we find ourselves in a situation where we clutch at good or bad straws as the wind blows from game to game. For what it's worth, my view has always been to give TW a continuing chance...

I would suggest that the increasing lack of support around him has something to do with it. A fast run, win the ball, look to someone to pass to and find nobody can hardly encourage.
