Re: Warrington

Playing without a recognised striker and only 4 subs. This doesn't bode well.....

Re: Warrington

I'm tempering my expectations tonight (as always). Warrington are having a decent season (comfortably mid-table, 3 points off the playoffs, decent run of wins in the league). They have got a few injuries which might be a blessing, but, having sold Hazel, and Asante needing a "mini pre-season" before...

Re: The Squad Now

Didn't AA make allowances for Felix in terms of missing training sessions? Presumably that changed when AA left.

Re: Hazel and Sukar

Can you elucidate as to what is "happening with Hazel"?

Not just with conjecture or opinion. There's a lot of that on here. An evidence-based analysis would do.

Weren’t they just singing “he hates Darlo” to Danny O’Connor? To which he responded with a smile and a raised fist?

Interesting comment That he needs a” mini preseason “ before he is fit. We don’t want to be offloading Hazel any time soon…..

That is grossly unfair. He didn’t have a great impact when he came on but to traduce his attitude is disproportionate and insulting.

Re: Darlo v Chester

Fantastic stuff. Great resilience at the end to grind out the wind. Special mention for Rivers - very good performance considering how little he has been involved. 2 questions: What happened with the substation when Salk ELD came off and Moke came on and went off? We played with 10 men for quite a f...

Really fussy ref. I can see one team going down to ten men.

We’re a different team when we take the lead.

Re: GOWLING OUT

There are several advocating for his return on social media, and plenty of rose-tinted revisionism on here. It’s like we have short memories - the last 10 months have been execrable and we’re in this mess because of AA. It’s amusing to see comments suggesting he would have picked up more points . It...

Re: GOWLING OUT

Also, what’s Danny Rose’ role in all this? He’s seen what the players we had were capable of last season with the correct additions, yet they seem to be intent on a total rebuild….. So they'd look half decent again if we added a Beck, Lambert, Dodds and Leesley? Good luck with that. Truth is a lot ...

Darlington is nearly 5 times the size of Spennymoor. To complain about their "pathetic" lack of support simply shines a light on our own paltry turnouts.

Second best but still nil nil. There's nothing sticking up front. Lots of direct balls forward but no threat.

Re: Darlington V Gloucester

I like Salkeld, there’s definitely a player there. He’s a left footed midfielder, who’s been asked to play left wing. I thought he was mom against Workington. Yesterday trying to get forward about to make runs was hampered by the ponderously slow release of the ball from Sukar. I would try him in m...

Re: Darlington V Gloucester

That first half proved one thing - you can’t polish a turd.

Lots of possession, little creativity or goal threat, and the usual defensive frailties.

I’m sure it will all change in the second half, following a rousing team talk from the new man, and some astute tactical substitutions.

This has been raised with the Rugby Club from my understanding. Good. The lack of lights at the top of the drive is dangerous. The Rugby Club at present seem to do only the bare minimum. Leaving aside the all big issues regarding our stay at Blackwell Meadows, some of the little details, the ones t...

On a separate note, it will be interesting to see the selection for Saturday's game. It may give an insight as to the senior players' view of best players/formation (as compared to AA's selections).

I'd take the Cowley brothers who aren't currently attached to a club.

But then my expectations have never been realistic.
