Re: Has everyone gone insane?
I'm open to outside investment provided it's transparent and from a reputable source. This is neither as far as I'm concerned. Wouldn't trust Singh as far as I could throw him, he's almost overseen the death of this club once before so what exactly is his end game here? Too much risk attached and t...

Interesting to see the Echo has blocked comments on the Pools match report. I know that Loughlin said that when Darlo went non league that our match reports should just be a short article, similar to what Gateshead and York get. Lets see if his views are the same for non league Hartlepool. I'd like...

It is worth considering the Poolies fate as we get ever closer to deciding whether or not we accept an investor to help our club to progress. 2 years ago when ior/hodcroft passed the club over to gary coxall and co, pools were debt free, and all the usual promises were made about the plans for the ...

Re: funding must continue
Your living in cloud cuckoo land, if you feel that any investor putting in substantial funds, wouldn't want at least 51% of the club. 51% outside ownership means 100% dictatorship, as the fans have witnessed over decades of despair. The club boards have been far better over the last 5 years, so why...

Re: One thing Darlo are good at ..
We had decades of bad, mad & downright swindling owners, so taking a few years with a slightly slower momentum is no issue for me. I have bemoaned the financing / disappearing money at DFC for over 50 seasons, but the last few years under our control have been superb. In 4-7 years time DFC will be i...

Good for him. It's a bit of a weird concept, but whatever. When did the B team last play a game!? Every England A team tournament finals since 1966? England really do need a real B team again, rather than the A team playing meaningless friendlies with ridiculous numbers of substitutions. With few E...

Once any intended deal is revealed there will be a clearer picture for fans hesitant to invest in DFCSG, because if a deal is mishandled they & their shares may become totally worthless. Any investors with the clubs best interest at heart wouldn't want to take the 51% golden share away from DFCSG. I...

Amazing effort from Darlo fans, now for Martins playing budget. Sent from my XT1032 using Tapatalk No. You know what, nowhere else does the manager dictate his playing budget. I'm all for being competitive but all this "MG says we need £x to compete in y league" is pissing me off a bit. Plenty of go...

Re: Community share pledge
It feels strange to me that people are saying they are waiting before investing in the community share scheme until they know the investors etc. especially as it is a loan rather than a gift. I believe that whoever the investors are they cant be in it for our assets as we have few (and we have debt...

Re: Price of this new seated stand we need
Having broadcast that £150,000 is the budget, it isn't very likely that any new competitive bids will come much under that figure. The board are probably exercising an option price from the original bids. At least there should be no architectural / design fees this time for a copy cat build. The red...

First I hope Mike does not mind me posting this on here. Makes you think. First, a little context... Saved from complete shutdown by supporters in 2012, we were demoted to the ninth...

An alternative view. We've all blamed ourselves (i.e. the club) for unawareness of a significant rule change last year which went unnoticed. Any appeal should take in to account how this change was communicated. It can't have been well promoted because it didn't appear on the radar till now. Those ...

More Gung Ho / Knee Jerk stuff going on now? Previous Investment / Disinvestment models included Tait, Brierley, Reynolds, Peden & Singh, so I hope that DFCSG / DFC boards are proceeding with extreme caution. An explanation of where the supposed sufficient 2016/17 DFC budget went should be issued to...

It's the league that moved the goalposts wanting FULL FA step 1 requirements, rather than temp solutions and planning permission, which was Ok until May 2016, so the 3 changes were made after our fundraising. These critera appear on FA guidelines before May 2016. This has already been explained on ...

Delighted we beat SCUM today. Shows how far we've come. MG still motivating the players - as are the players themselves. There was a condition in the Arena planning permission about having to play professional football there, but like other conditions (e.g. Statue/Bus coordinator) the paperwork disappeared from the insecure planning paper archive. There was no mention of any link to the Feethams shennanigans.

Here's an interesting (albeit unlikely) scenario ...... No - 500 seats is needed to be eligible for promotion, whether that is as cha...

Sounds like the games are attractive. Darlo used to play Darlo A v Darlo B friendlies in the 60's, with mixed teams of seniors and juniors in front of decent crowds. I always liked these as fans could see how the young players and seldom seen squad members compare. These games raised the profile of ...

The average crowd for the last 6 matches at Blackwell (taking the first two out due to novelty factor) is 1,607. The average for this season at Heritage Park was 1,593. So if we take the last 2 crowds at HP away (which it could be argued were artificially inflated because of the novelty of us leavi...
