Re: Bradford Park Avenue
Is it to do with funding? Is it not just overspending? If BPA had received an extra £1m over the last few years would they not have just spent £1m more and be in the same boat? Too many clubs want to get ahead so much they gamble their futures on it, I don't think giving them more money is going to ...

Re: Sports Village (latest)
It seems no matter what we do some fans will be alienated. Some say they won't go back to the Arena, (most who say that actually would I expect, they just want to show how much they are against it) and some will pack in due to the tinpot nature of BM. Undoubtedly many have already packed in because ...

Answering my own question, Pickering till the end of January. They are in the Evo-Stik 2nd tier, same as Marske, not that low.

Re: Twenty years ago tonight.
Where would be now if we hadn't left Feethams? Not necessarily better off of course, but given the chance I would definitely get inside Bill & Teds phone box and try to stop it happening. What an utter bellend. Seem to remember the thing that made him so hell bent on leaving was the Cricket Club wan...

Re: Arena Sports Village
Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it, time and time again. That's all I'm saying. mmm, fairly sure we met our doom because we were deliberately run at an unsustainable loss, not because of the concrete and steel around us. Yes, the increased running costs had a knock-on effe...

Re: Tim Ryan
Don't think Tim Ryan played much did he? Wasn't he usually injured? 46 games, 1 goal. I had a memory that Keltie almost scored from distance in that game, could be a different incident though. Thought we edged the first half only for Sam Russel to concede a poor goal at his near post. Second half w...

Re: Darlington v Stockport
Plus point, we actually defended very well today considering how much pressure we were under. Trouble is we had nowhere near enough quality to look like creating something. If anyone was going to makes something happen it was Syers but he went off and then the Ainge substitution changed nothing. I d...

Re: Darlington v AFC Telford
Complete performance, never looked like conceding and could have scored more. Great save from their 2nd half keeper to push Saunders' header on to the bar and Syers hit the post as well. Trotman is looking more and more like a right-winger, gave their left back a tough game.

Re: Darlington V Alfreton Match Thread
The difference between the Alfreton game and the Altrincham game the week before, is absolutely massive. We played pretty well against Alfreton. On another day we could have won that game. I thought it was telling that at the end of the game, the team got a standing ovation from most of the fans le...

Re: Darlington V Blyth
How Blyth beat Chester 8-1 at the weekend I don’t know as they were just awful. Thought they contributed to an entertaining game. Very sharp up front which we really struggled with early on but remedied that by making them defend for most of the game - and their centre halves did that very well unf...

Disappointing result, encouraging performance. Dominated from 15 minutes in. Thommo and Trotman tortured them down the right, was scratching my head as to why they didn't sub Watson, Thommo must have skinned him every time.
Seemed like Collins stopped assuming an offside for their goal. Sloppy.
