Because we were sorting out new face/faces before Beck left anyhow.
Wouldn't expect a striker yet but who knows.

Re: Mark Beck
Sadly, yes he is sure.
The media around it will be managed as opposed to just announced. I would expect/hope a player in before Saturday also, AA is certainly trying with the squad so thin.

Re: Mark Beck
Some players get paid 52 weeks at Darlo and some 39/40. Depends what's agreed in the contract, no idea if Beck was on a 52 week contract but quite possibly.
Some players like the money guaranteed each week, rather than 12 weeks where it's missing.

Source/link? Take his word for it on this one. Fair enough. Someone posted a rumour of Donawa offered as a swap too. Anything in this? Heard the rumour from a couple of people, not sure if anything in it but be surprised if we haven't asked. It’s a nice thought but if they’re paying the release cla...

Re: Mark Beck
Can't blame for Beck going to a club, that offers him something that we can't. Until the day comes when we can offer full-time football to our star players, this will not be the last time this happens. Good luck Mark and thanks for the memories. Not just fulltime football, double your wage and sign...

Re: Mark Beck
Massively disappointed if Beck leaves and it appears he has, mainly because the negativity it brings for a period. We are looking to get back on track and have a positive second half of the season, this may well happen but it brings the mood down around the club. Over to AA to use the funds and bri...

Re: Southend Away
Just to clarify, I think Darlofan97 is referring to the deadline for registering players in the National League North (31st March). Whereas, I think super_les is referring to the EFL transfer window, which closes at the end of January. Correct. In the past it does seem more deals are done at our le...

Re: Southend Away
AA is looking at players as you would expect, it gets to this time of season and you either largely pay money for contracted players or you wait until transfer window is closed and sign on loan those players who are going to be released from clubs above us. Hopefully with a bit of cup money and stay...

Re: Lambert attracting attention
Armstrong says we don’t need to sell anyone, but surely any of our players could leave if the price is right. I would imagine that Lambert will have a release clause in his contract, just as Charman did. So if prospective buyers are prepared to match the fee required he will likely be on his way. I...

Re: 2,300 tickets sold for Boxing day as of 18th Dec (Now 2,700 pre-sold - ONLY 3 STANDING TICKETS LEFT FOR DARLO FANS)
I was looking at some historical FA Cup scores from years gone by and came across this one : Darlington 0 Wigan 5. It was a particularly abject performance on the field but does anyone else recall the sit down protest we held in the shed? Lots of chants of sack the board amongst other things! They ...

Re: Scarborough Away - Mon 2nd Jan (SOLD OUT)
Dodds loan deals ends on the 3rd Jan I believe, I don't think any of us seem him staying longer (sadly). Lawlor has been excellent this season, although granted didn't have the best of game on Monday. Almond is a young lad, who may turn out to be a good signing but to think he should come in and rep...

Yeah more but smaller steps. Also I don't remember being that bothered or have issues about the view in my teens, just happy being in the middle of the tinshed going crazy if we scored - maybe that's a younger thing.

Re: Scarborough Away - Mon 2nd Jan (2,400 tickets sold already)
Block F is where the small seated section is for Darlo, we got about 84 seats and all are gone. Visiting supporters have been allocated sheltered terracing (486 capacity) in the Adverset Stand (Section E) and 84 seats in Section F, plus pitchside standing. Total tickets available are just over 600. ...

AA says on his post match interview we went to a 3-4-3. It was noticeable, Felix seemed further back, Dodds more central and Lambert drifted into the middle.

Counted in I believe, I don’t think we have that many of them.theoriginalfatcat wrote: ↑Fri Dec 23, 2022 12:19 pmAre they counting in the number of sold Flexi tickets here? The pre bought packs or 5 or 10.
Is it possible that someone could turn up with one of these and not get in?
