Anyone else having buffering problems - had no problems with previous games, but seems to be more buffering hold ups than watchable tv at moment.

Maybe time to get Hatfield or Wheatley off - avoid another injury or second yellow.

Re: We are on the box
Does the 13.30 kick off change the situation on overnight hotel costs. To get there on the day would mean a ridiculously early start, so will we now be able to claim hotel bill as part of our travel expenses from the host club rather than fund it ourselves as at Swindon?

Seems a long time ago now, but we were a penalty kick away from going out in 2nd qualifying round. Apart from all the excitement that save has made us a lot of money.

Re: Has anyone played for DFC and scored for England?
During wartime games the Darlo team was made up of players from all over the place who happened to be stationed nearby at the time (presumably Catterick). Looking at a few programmes for this period it actually listed the home club for the players, and some of them played for 'big' teams of the time...

Re: Support package announced
Wasn't there something announced a few days ago about the National Lottery putting some money into the National League?
Wonder how that fits in with this - is it included in this package or some additional money?

I thought QuakerTV was outstanding. Living in Cambridge I'd be happy to pay a season ticket price to watch this seasons home games this way. Fantastic product. I want more of this. Likewise. As an exile in East Anglia I rarely get to home games. Very happy to watch a quality production of home games...

NLN have issued a statement - seemingly run by Chester - with the majority of the clubs backing a 'no fans' no games approach.: 'Chester FC and fellow National League North clubs have released the following joint statement A meeting was held by Zoom at 17.30 on Wednesday 23rd September 2020 with rep...

Wonder what happens to the FA Cup game? Could have contract implications if that game goes ahead but then no league games following. Would you have to bring players back and start paying them but then no games to play after.

Going off at a bit of a tangent....the draw for the early rounds in various FA cup competitions were made today. The only one we featured in was the FA Youth cup - drawn away in first qualifying round to Pickering town or Cleator Moor Celtic.

I wonder what continuing financial commitment we will still have to the BM rugby club. I don't know what the terms of our matchday lease are, but would there be some sort of compensation payment if we don't play home fixtures there?

Player and goal of the season
Had a twitter thing this morning from the club about voting for the player and goal of the season. Details also on the club site.
Voting closes Monday.
Wouldn't have thought there's too much doubt about player of the season - he's also in the short list for the goal.

Re: Sports village
It would be financial suicide for us to go back to the arena as tenants of DMP. There is no way they can afford to run the place as a stand alone facility without the opportunities the sporting villagewas supposed to bring - although I thought those projections were very optimistic. The sort of rent...

Many will have seen it on twitter etc, but for thise that don't know yet, lifelong Darlo fanatic Jamie passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, age 48. You may not recognise the name but you will have seen him in his wheel chair at pretty much every game.

Re: New deal Donawa , Hatfield Rivers
Don't forget the first of last night's signings. Alun Armstrong signing on for another 3 years. I'm sure the fact he was able to tell players he was commited to the club must have been a factor in them re-signing. We seem to be well on the way to securing the core of our team s aborted season, now w...

On the subject of pitches generally - looking at clips on the news about Norman Hunter, top level pitches were in a terrible state - lots of todays non-league pitches will be in a better condition. As for some of the 'tackles' shown - how times have changed. But players on the receiving end usually ...

Another great performance from Elliot last night - we seem to have 2 keepers who are both well above average quality for this league, and so far seem to accept that they are in competition for one place with good grace. But is this sustainable long term - can we afford two first choice keepers even ...

Who remembers 1960/1 season, mid December in the fog at Feethams. DFC won 5-1 but only a few people actually witnessed the goals. Five thousand plus in the ground so moving from end to end was not possible. You must be as old/older than me!!! I think the guidance then was that the game went ahead i...

Near top of national league, won 9 out of 11 home league games. If we get anything out of this it would be a bigger achievement than Walsall.
