Re: Season null and voided
I'm sure there will be some owners who will quite happily take out loans and load their clubs with extra debt. Could even contemplate using these new loans to pay off existing debt - parhaps to themselves. And if we are talking 10 or even 20 year repayment periods then how many of these owners will ...

Legal challenge?
Quote (from twitter) from Dorking Wanderers owner Marc White " we're expecting a null & void outcome imminently. We've been taking legal advice and we'd challenge the validity of the resolutions and their outcomes. Null and void would result in redundancies and have a significant impact on the club'...

Re: DFC Voted for League to be Null & Void
A number of teams have announced that they have/will furlough their contracted players and if necessary fulfil their fixtures using academy, non-contract players and probably anyone who stands outside the ground with his boots. Someone on twitter has asked if it is legal to furlough an employee and ...

Game off.
Would have decided sooner but had to wait for a rep from York to get there.

Looks like we will be playing, even if reluctantly, subject to the weather.
Do you think if we didn't have the Trophy game looming we might have joined the non-playing clubs?

Re: DFC Voted for League to be Null & Void
No matter how the voting goes it's down to the national league management to do what they in their eyes see right and proper, just like they did with the 11,million funding from national lotterys grants, and everyone knows how that turned out, total shambles, Borehamwood not a 1,000 fans £252,000 o...

Re: York City on Tues.
Presumably we are still paying the players and management, so there would be relatively little extra cost if we had played tonight. Costs probably more than offset by what would likely have been decent streaming receipts.

Re: York City on Tues.
Bloody cheek sending someone to the inspection.
I hope the qualified referee told everybody (from both sides)to bugger off while he inspected the pitch, made his decision and then told the relevant club officials.

Re: DFC Voted for League to be Null & Void
Credit to Spenny for being so decisive. Will be interesting to see how those clubs who have said they will not fulfill future fixtures react if the vote to stop goes against them. Will they stick to their guns and take whatever the league throw at them? Whatever the sanctions available to the league...

Re: DFC Voted for League to be Null & Void
Pre-empting the results of the vote a few clubs have announced they will not fulfill their fixtures on Saturday. Bradford PA and Chippenham based on financial considerations, while Concord Rangers have said they will not play on Saturday because of player safety concerns, but strangely said they wil...

Watching Quaker TV
Bit of light relief from all the comfusing serious stuff. When you see TV adverts which involve people - usually towards the younger end of the age spectrum - watching football on TV, they are oftn shown wearing their club shirts. Does anyone 'dress up' to watch Darlo games on Quaker TV or other clu...

Re: League restarts 6 February
Wonder in resolution 1 how the 2 votes for NLN/S will be cast as there is clearly a difference of opinion within these leagues. Some - York, Gloucester, Chorley etal - want to carry on, others (a majority don't). Do they have a preliminary vote and the 2 votes go with the majority?

28 days to respond!
Does that mean we play for another 4 weeks with a fair chance it will all have been pointless - and cost 4 more weeks wages, travel etc

Re: David Johnson : We are in a sad position
An article in today’s Echo suggests that even if our league season ends we will continue in the FA Trophy. “ The Buildabase FA Trophy is currently due to continue which means Quakers will be in action on Saturday February 6 when they host National League side Wealdstone ar Blackwell Meadows. As thi...

As DJ said safety is as important as the money, so on that basis unless everything he asked for in terms of testing is quickly put in place then we should withdraw from the trophy?

National League lottery money
You may remember there was a bit of comment from some clubs about what they saw as unfair distribution of the lottery money to help clubs playng without fans in the ground. The NL set up an 'independent' review of the process. The link goes to a report in the Non-league paper about a letter from the...

Fixture backlog
In his post match interview AA mentiond that as we approach Xmas we still have 37 league games to play! This must mean 2 games most weeks for the rest of the season, and that's before any postponements. Going to mean a fair bit of squad rotation to minimise fatigue and injuries - so should we be pre...
