Re: Shocking and embarassing

Tell you what is embarrassing as per the title...

Crusher on Twitter saying not once but twice not only that AA needs to go, but he needs to take DJ with him.

What an absolute fuckwit.

Re: Armstrong not up to the task

The right thing to do is tough it out, turn things around and prove the haters wrong. I'm behind him one million percent. No, one million and one per cent. Thing is I really like the guy and want him to succeed, no doubting that. Problem is he is massively underperforming and the longer it continue...

AA has to give this system another few games but we badly need a creative, attacking midfielder to replace Liddle who has done little in the 3 games.Salkeld is not the answer either
Has he been played as an attacking midfielder yet? He's got a bit of physical presence, it might be the answer.

Re: Scunthorpe Away 15/08/23

Scunthorpe look a very decent team for this level. Yes we were unlucky when Hazel hit the post early on, and their first goal was a fortunate deflection, but the reality is we were second best all over the park. The gulf between the teams got wider the longer the game went on, and we finished a wel...

Re: From bad to worse - AA to go

I watched the Spendy highlights last night for some bizarre reason, expecting to see a virtually deserted ground as well, but the announced crowd of 1,000 looked about right. Not so sure that they are counting non attendees as attended like some other clubs do. Though how many of the actual attendee...

Popular ex player returns, great news.

I wonder if we can find some money down the back of the couch to do it again some time down the line?

Re: Hereford away

On the plus side we certainly created some decent opportunities with Hazel and Salkeld linking up well on a couple of occasions. Salkeld was getting a ridiculous amount of stick on Twitter last night, some fans saying he's the worst player they've ever seen. Based on 2 matches. Looks like this seas...

Re: Hatfield

He only left 18 months ago didn’t he? I think he would be fantastic in the midfield alongside the likes of Moke, Platt and Liddle. To be fair, he wasn't as good in that season as he was in seasons previous. I should have added, that he was still good enough to be signed by Fylde though. Even if he'...

I'm pretty sure back in the day they didn't do tables for the first few games but perhaps I'm dreaming again.
No I think you're right.

They never used to show the tables on final score until 3 matches were played. I think it might have been the same in the papers as well.

Re: Hereford away

Which is still relegation form Just about, as you'd win 15 and lose 30 in 45. But then you'd win the 46th as that's the win in the 16th set. 48 points then. Just need a couple of draws instead of defeats  In all seriousness though, we need to forget last season and concentrate on this season....

So it's one win in 3 then.

It’s beyond pathetic now…… there will be some on here that say we were unlucky and we are playing good football in patches blah blah blah. I admire their loyalty - and have empathy with the desperate hope that things will turn around. However, it has been the same story for too long now. All I want...

I couldn't give a fuck if you point out said limitations, let alone hate it being pointed out. I know the limitations and am happy for the club to exist within them. Every ...

For me it’s the fact that we have 100% reached our level. Our budget without BTB is bottom 4 in NLN and even with it makes it unlikely to be hugely competitive. These are facts confirmed by DJ and will not change under the current model. The new ground is still way off. Yep, for me this is worse th...

You’re right of course but equally how long can we put up with the stagnation that we currently have. For ever. Never a single owner ever again. The fact that the club was almost bankrupted 3 times, with many more flying by the seats of our pants moments in between, culminating in being threw into ...
