Re: Farsley FC V Darlington FC

Whoever plays, lets hope we get off to a better start than Saturday. Farsley punished us early on last year at their ground!

Re: The Clubs Image

Ramsbottom players were giving verbal out to the fans throughout the game. I moved around a fair bit and at various times their players were goading the fans in one way or another. It was always bound to kick off, shame a few idiots went too far with it but pretty sure 99% of teams in the football l...

Re: Clyde Wijnhard

Noel Whelan probably played alongside some of the Premierships early starts in the mid nineties for Leeds and also had a stint with Coventry. Yeh, Coventry were awash with world class stars on a par with Bergkamp, Overmars and Blind. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2 He may not have played alon...

To be fair, just seen Sam Russell mentioned. He was always steady.

What about Russell Holt anyone???

Preece was good shot stopper but terrible at corners/crosses. I remember sometimes having to look away when he came out for them due to the uncertainty!

Collett was top notch, Stockdale, Prudhoe, Paul Newell

Re: return to darlo date and ground requirements

Has anyone seen Curzon Ashton's ground? Looks really smart and relatively new. Holds 4000. Something based on that wouldn't be a bad starting point. There are some good pictures here http://footygrounds.blogspot.co.uk/2012 ... adium.html

Re: Ossett Town vs Darlington Match Thread

Great performance by the lads. I thought Leon and Curtis had great games in centre mid. Still not sure about Bruno, one minute he looks class, the next few does something shocking and causes all sorts of problems at the back. Clyde Wynhard looked like he was loving all the attention from Darlo fans....

Re: Launch of In The Dying Seconds

Does anyone know the set up for the night? Planning to drive up from Leeds but do I need a ticket?

Is it like a sit down and talk thing? or just buy a book and an opportunity to get them signed etc.?

Thanks

Wembley 2011 shirt

Does anybody own, or know of anyone who might be willing to sell a Darlo 2011 home shirt with the Wembley embroided text next to the badge? I am trying to source one for a friends milestone birthday in August. Ideally needs to be a Large or X-Large Willing to pay good money if its in good condition ...

50/50

I saw on twitter one ran last night but it couldn't be announced due to a tech problem or something. Is it possible the programme sellers can also sell tickets for this? Seems like we could be making a lot more money through the 50:50 than we are. I didn't hear/see anyone selling a ticket and if the...

Re: Ideas For Sustainability

Couple of good ideas there feethams, and a couple of horrific ones. Running total of 50/50 tickets announced during corners ???? And if someone walking around selling tickets during the game just wouldnt work . The match worn shirt raffle is something which could work well. Obviously not to be take...

Re: Ideas For Sustainability

Improvements on the 50:50 I go to ice hockey and literally you get 7-8 sellers approach you during the breaks and before the game. Through the game they announce different totals to encourage people to buy it as well. So say the ball goes out for a corner, we could get a quick announcement about the...

I have huge amount of respect for Chandler and appreciate all he did for Darlo and I understand the decision he made to leave the club.

I don't think "un-following" him on twitter goes against that?

Re: Players to be paid

i go to watch ice hockey and the ways the club makes money through the supporters is fantastic. Things like the 50:50 and shirt raffles, player sponsors, merchandise etc... is organised so well and puts Darlo (and most football clubs to shame). Thats on attendances of around 3000. If someone was to ...

Why does Raj need to bring costs down now though? Surely after we won at Wembley and he sat down with Cooper in the pre-season he should have known roughly what the 2011-12 season was going to hold for us, both income and out going wise? After Wembley, i'm sure Singh said he was willing (and able) t...
