Re: Player of the season
Nicholson for me personally, our top scorer, probably got the most assists too, I believe he’s someone who we can get a lot of money for in the future if we build a team around him.
Got no issues if Trotman or Thompson get the award as they have been excellent too

Re: New Manager Poll
With all names listed so far the ones I would like most are: Ben Clark- Did a good job with Gateshead especially under those circumstances and got the team to show a real togetherness, which I think was something that was missing from TW’s reign. I imagine that he could come to us too considering Ga...

Re: Alun Armstrong on his way out of Blyth?
Long shot could be Matt Jansen former Chorley Manager. I think he’s with Blackburn’s academy at the Moment but it could be worth at least enquiring. Others have mentioned Neil Aspin too...

Nicholson against BPA for me, gets the ball on the halfway line and goest 20-25 yards with it and then just curls it in top bins.

Re: Favourite game + season grading
Favourite Game was Kidderminster at Home, Many thought without Nelson that we would struggle but I felt like that was our most complete performance of the whole season. York at home obviously was a brilliant game too. Season grade for me is an E, we are consistently inconsistent with the good perfor...

Re: Alun Armstrong on his way out of Blyth?
If we do say goodbye to TW then regarding things on the pitch we should be at least enquiring about his services, also with the likes of Maguire and Jameson out of contract maybe he could tempt them to come along too (imagine a front 3 of Thompson, Maguire and Nicholson). Off the pitch he does seem ...

Re: Tommy Wright: 19/20 Season. Yay or Nay
I wouldn’t touch Armstrong with a barge pole. Last thing we need is a manager who whinges about budgets. Surely Blyths budget for this season was less than ours in the first place? So assuming they cut their budget next season like us we’ll still have more than them. Also if it was him there would ...

Re: Tommy Wright: 19/20 Season. Yay or Nay
For me it’s time for him to go, he’s shown now that over his reign that he is at best a lower mid table manager with us and just in this division regardless, his summer recruitment was poor (apart from Nicholson and Elliott) which in all honesty surprised me as before then he pretty much got them al...

Possible managerial candidates
I think most of us are in the same boat of that TW needs to go so I thought I would put this thread on for people to put forward names of who they would like as a replacement. Names I’ve thought of include: John Flanagan- Done a great job at Curzon on a lot less than what we've got and plays a nice ...

Re: Darlington V Altrincham Match thread
It will be interesting to see the line up that TW decides on for Saturdays game. Probably a reshuffle in the back 4 and definitely one in the midfield. I think we should still go for 4 4 2, Hughes needs a run of games, this is his chance. Maddison, Trotman Burn Galbraith O'Hanlon, Thompson Hughes E...

Was the trialist last night and according to the people who went he looked pretty good, wonder if TW signs him up for the season because at the moment we only have Hughes, Wheatley and Glover. (Yes I know there’s Syers but we don’t know how long he’s injured for)

Keeper & Holding Midfielder
Who do we think will be the players that we’ll get for these positions? Reckon for the Keeper, rumour is Roberts from Preston, maybe the money we’ve received from Gillies,Turnbull or Heaton deals we could tempt Boro for Pears again or maybe even go for a keeper on a permanent basis if the budget doe...

Re: Tommy wants 3 new players
With the pending addition of Nicholson we will now have an attack that could possibly be the best in non league, Styche, Ainge, Thompson, Gillies, Syers and Nicholson all of these are more than capable of getting at least 10 goals each in the league

Re: Tommy wants 3 new players
I really doubt this would happen but Hhat happened to that rumour of us possibly getting Danny Johnson from Gateshead, I’m putting 2+2 together and probably getting 5 but ould he be the forward that Tommy is wanting. (Again I really doubt this as we’ve got Styche and Ainge, I’m hoping for more of a ...

Another name that could be thrown into the ring could be Daniel Nti, can play out wide or through the middle, rated pretty highly and was also at the V9 academy week just gone

Pretty sure Green can play out wide as well.
The dream trio would be Pears, Elliot and Nicholson for me personally (would be happy with Blyth though)

Re: Tommy wants 3 new players
My guess for the holding mid player is Elliot from Nuneaton, Pretty decent player on the ball and is quite highly rated I believe, keeper, would love it to be Pears but doubt it and for the forward I reckon it could be someone who has the versatility to play through the middle and can also play out ...

Think we have a reasonable chance of signing him due to what’s going on with Nuneaton at the minute. I know he turned us down due to travel, but reckon with enough persuasion and a bit of those spenny “vibes” I could see us lining up with a frontline of Styche and Chambers which would be one of the ...
