Unimportant question in the scheme of things
I've been told that Season Ticket holders who are not at the match are not counted in the gate? Just wondering what the reasons for this would be? Some other clubs do count ST holders as attended, they have after all paid their money for any given match?
If we're ever in a position where we have an all ticket sell out of 2,004 (which would obviously include 780 ST's), we could be declaring a gate of 1,900 or so even though it was a sell out.
I don't for one minute think that all 2,004 attended the Bishop v Darlo match, but it was officially announced as that.

Their is counters where the turnstiles are. Every time someone goes through it, it counts them, so they ARE exact numbers!

I didn't say the figures going through the turnstiles weren't right.

I think the title is right for this post, doesnt make any difference at all to the club.
Re: Unimportant question in the scheme of things
I want to know how many people turned up.
Don't really care if 300 ST holders or whatever are elsewhere.
Isn't the clue in the name Match Attendance?

For you to insult me, I must first value your opinion.

Actually I think the club will find this figure very important, they need to know how many ST holders are coming, how many turn style fans are coming and what revenue streams are.love it! wrote:I think the title is right for this post, doesnt make any difference at all to the club.
Also for insurance purposes the numbers are vital, catering, staff, stewards, facilities etc
Re: Unimportant question in the scheme of things
The amount of people turning up is important, whether they are season ticket holders or not is not important IMO
Re: Unimportant question in the scheme of things
Another unimportant fact is that a lad from work went on a last minute holiday 2 days before the Bishop match and never used his ticket
