Yes, and Kettering Town have their winding up order heard on Monday.

Dorchester Town are just dipping their toes in the murky waters of fan-ownership...

Quite amicably too

Some interesting facts and figures were tweeted during their public meeting last night...

Bloody hell, if all goes against them it will be the 2nd time in 5-6 years that a team from Farnborough has gone down the Kermit

Dorchester have just released their business plan. They're going to convert to a Community Benefit Society - intitially with a joint chairman. Their current owner (Shaun Hearn) is transferring half of his majority shareholding to the club's Trust and will stay on to help the club get back on its feet as a community owned model, before transferring the rest.

http://www.dtfcct.org.uk/docs/club-busi ... an-201314/

The business plan has some useful budget figures included - they're a Step 4 club with a Trust membership of around 500.

I quite liked the simplicity of the board structure - probably helped by the organisation chart they included. I'd love to see one of those for our club - I've even asked for one a couple of times :/

There was a clear message in their business plan about only being able to put out a team which they can afford, and that the supporters would have to accept that their sustainable level might be a bit lower than some might hope. There's also a bit about how clubs, in general, have got themselves into an "arms race" for success - I thought that was quite a good way of putting it.

It's interesting reading and good to see a club trying to convert to a community owned model with the full backing of their current owner, before it's too late.

Just been reading that Farnborough have agreed some kind of sponsorship deal with Paddy Power.

One of the conditions though is that every player has had to change their name by deed poll to a famous footballer's name. So their team is now Beckenbaeur, Pele, Messi etc. :wtf:
