Stockport County

Post by Darlo.For.Life » Fri Apr 26, 2013 1:35 pm

They have announced that they are going part time. Quite shocking really considering the size of their fan base and as they were a League 1 club only 3 seasons ago.

Currently sat 3rd bottom after 2 defeats and a draw. We may even end up playing them next season.

Jeez, I just read their Facebook page. They're suggesting that the owners are just letting the club fail so they can profit from the sale of the ground. There were one or two die-hard optimists there, but the rest seemed ready to just let it all go.

Some of them sound almost suicidal...

Did you get to the Spurs game? Was hoping Tbilisi would do it but the late 70s early 80s just seem a long way away now.

Most City fans would not give County the time of day now due to the way County behaved towards City in the desperate slide to Division Three in the late 90s.

Its a long story but I for one always routed for them up until that time, not since though.

Ahh, I see what you mean now. The County fans certainly didn't cover themselves in glory with the pitch invasion at Kiddie last season, when one of their fans punched one of the Kiddie players.

No, I never went to the Spurs game here - I think the result spoke for itself and the bits I saw on TV looked more like a training match than a European cup tie. Would have been a nightmare getting in and out of the stadium too - always is when a big team comes or there's an international match on.

We will be playing at the arena again next season - fact.

Quakerz - if you actually attended games and spoke to people you might actually find our facts, rather than spreading s*** on this board.

He'd be better managing a team who play in green.
