Gateshead
They will be playing with a strike-force of:
- Liam Hatch
- James Brown
- Adam Boyes
- Richard Brodie
- Colin Larkin
Seems another case of their chairman throwing money at the club hoping it will pay off...

Re: Gateshead
I am sure they will say & their fans will say they are self sufficient.
I'd say ask a sample of them, but you might as well just ask them all.

No one seemed to care when we werent self sufficient though, so it doesn't really matter.lo36789 wrote:I am sure they will say their fans will say they are self sufficient.

The only times you will know if a club is self sufficient is if the owner sells, they go into administration, or accounts are published.
As long as the owner is just giving the cash it isnt an issue, its all we are doing but on smaller scales.
Suddenly we seem to of become the most moralistic fans ever, having a go at other clubs at every opportunity for daring to have someone in charge who will bank roll them. How about we just concentrate on our own club?

Fuck off Shawry you sanctimonious wanker
Surely you can see the difference between our position when we were bankrolled (a professional league club with 3k attendences) and Gateshead, a club with 15 fans yet still having the who's who of lower league forwards to choose from.
That's why it's getting commented on.

Ah but I don't think we ever claimed to be, other than in the Stewart Davies years!shawry wrote:No one seemed to care when we werent self sufficient though, so it doesn't really matter.
Re: Gateshead
As long as the Gateshead owner is happy to put the money in, then there isn't really a problem. However, when he gets sick of putting money in, or falls ill, or runs out of money, or whatever, Gateshead are going to plummet, as their support is terrible, and has no chance of financing a full time conference team, let alone the types of players they have on their books.
