Brentford charging 25 quid for an upcoming pre season and seemingly given Celtic three sides of the ground...
Yet another case of exploitation

Re: What a rip off
Shitload of Irish in London, plenty of Scottish Celtic fans, new stadium to pay for - you can see why they've done it

Re: What a rip off
I'd expect Celtic to take quite a large number to the game which financially justifies the decision.
What kind of team are Celtic expecting to send down? If it's largely a first team squad then it's without doubt the correct decision.
Lets be honest, if we were in the same situation I wouldn't be complaining.

Re: What a rip off
That's not too bad but Bournemouth charging £60 is a joke and surely not many will be daft enough to pay that (even though it is Real Madrid)
Re: What a rip off
I can't imagine many Madrid fans were planning on making the journey over anyway.

We will be playing at the arena again next season - fact.
Quakerz - if you actually attended games and spoke to people you might actually find our facts, rather than spreading s*** on this board.

Re: What a rip off
Will it shite be Reals 1st team
£60 to watch a pre season friendly between a championship side and what will probably be Real Madrids youth/3rd team
Its a total joke i hope they get a crowd of 47 after that disgusting ticket price

Re: What a rip off
According to reports - Real Madrid are sending their strongest possible side over. The only players that will be left out are those that were involved in the recent Confederations Cup in Brazil.
Re: What a rip off
To be honest if Darlo had a friendly in against Madrid and it looked like Ronaldo, Benzema, Ozil etc. we're going to play, I would probably pay that much money to watch it!WeAreDFC wrote:That's not too bad but Bournemouth charging £60 is a joke and surely not many will be daft enough to pay that (even though it is Real Madrid)
It would be a once in a lifetime opportunity. Plus I would know the money is going into the club as well, so I don't buy a shirt that season or something - I would probably see it as worth the sacrifice!

I would not mind paying a small premium to see the likes of Ronaldo, Benzema and co, but 60 notes is a complete rip offlo36789 wrote:To be honest if Darlo had a friendly in against Madrid and it looked like Ronaldo, Benzema, Ozil etc. we're going to play, I would probably pay that much money to watch it!WeAreDFC wrote:That's not too bad but Bournemouth charging £60 is a joke and surely not many will be daft enough to pay that (even though it is Real Madrid)

Well despite charging 60 notes, turns out Bournemouth actually still got a full house.
I wonder if they made a decent profit or if it mostly went on paying Real's appearance fee.

The report seemed to suggest the match was arranged via friend of a friend sort of thing.WeAreDFC wrote:Well despite charging 60 notes, turns out Bournemouth actually still got a full house.

I hope Bournemouth made a lot from it - could give them a bit of a boost in the Championship. Could be quite an achievement by Eddie Howe should he manage to take that club even further - weren't they in League Two on -17 when he started out?
Re: What a rip off
Yes, he's done a brilliant job. Although they are owned by a Russian billionaire so probably aren't exactly in desperate need of the money nowadays.

I wanted to know that too, the chairman is Edmund Mitchell, does not sound Russkie to me, unless Mitchell is short for mitchellskiMaddosMilkman wrote:Bournemouth are owned by mega-rich dudes? When did that happen?

Turned out to be a fooking good team!
Real Madrid (First half): Lopez, Carvajal, Nacho, Pepe, Coentrao, Modric, Khedira, Ronaldo, Isco, Ozil, Benzema.
Real Madrid (Second half): Fernandez, Carvajal (Casado 68), Mateos, Nacho (Quini 68), Cheryshev, Casemiro, Illarramendi, di Maria, Kaka, Morata, Higuain.
£60 seems to be a little bit more justified with that line up.

I should have said co-owned. Bit of info below.fozzovmurton wrote:I wanted to know that too, the chairman is Edmund Mitchell, does not sound Russkie to me, unless Mitchell is short for mitchellskiMaddosMilkman wrote:Bournemouth are owned by mega-rich dudes? When did that happen?

Re: What a rip off
I tell you what, I'd happily pay £60 to see our club take on the likes of Ronaldo, Kaka and Ozil.
