England tonight- Predictions

Post by cameron-darlo » Fri Oct 11, 2013 3:27 pm

Anyone watching?, hoping for a positive performance and Result to take us into the Poland game.

Montenegro have a few players out injured including one of their best players and Captain, Vucinic, which will be a blow for them but they still have Jovetic who can cause problems.

England are only without Cole & Cleverley, but we have cover for both players.

I'm going to go for a 2-1 win with Sturridge & Rooney for England

Need to be more clinical in front of goal.

Townsend looks like a decent prospect mind!

I wouldn't say they've been particularly poor tonight so far, certainly not compared to what we've come to expect, but it still baffles me that so many people get excited by this shower.

I'm assuming they will qualify but what do you really expect from them if they make it to the finals? Simply not good enough. I can't believe there's apparently so many who can't see it.

I reckon we've been decent tonight. Sturridge is quality, and Rooney looks back to his best.

I'm still not convinced by Jagielka and Cahill together though.

Think it's been a good performance.

Rarely troubled at the back, good in possession and created a few chances when Montenegro gave us the space.

We could have had 4 or 5 by the time Montenegro scored but for some cracking saves and slightly overhit crosses.

Every time he got the ball it looked like he could do something with it. very promising!

Overall a pleasing performance i reckon. could have been more clinical in the 1st half but we bagged 4 (well 3) in the 2nd.

Bring on Poland.

Think they are probably the best of what we have available now. As I think Spyman has mentioned before we've been blessed for the past 15 years with top quality centrebacks.

Tony Adams, Sol Campbell, Rio Ferdinand, John Terry, Ledley King & Jonathan Woodgate (injuries aside!) were among the best in world football. We had them whilst other top nations had the likes of Roque Junior, Boumsong & Materazzi as first team central defenders!

We are now in transition waiting for the likes of Phil Jones, Martin Kelly and John Stones possibly (maybe even a Dan Burn!?) to really prove themselves.
