Blimey, he did well to stay on his feet. No room for actions like that on a footie pitch, regardless of whether the other player had done or said something out of order to spark it off.

Interesting situation there - the team which finishes top might be relegated.

Same thing happened last year with Ryhope - they finished runners up, but went down because they didn't meet the criteria.

That's the precedent, so put simply for Heaton, it's get the floodlights in place or back to the Northern Alliance they go.

Opens up a new can of worms about whether teams should be promoted if they don't already meet the ground criteria necessary to be go up.

Yes it would mean less teams can apply for promotion, but the end of season chaos, with a team who should be promoted ending up being relegated, can't go on.
