United fans are getting a bit desperate aren't they for joy. Drawing circles around the 25 empty seats in Man City's stadium!

Utd fans have always been a bit obsessed with the attendances at Citeh once they moved to the Etihad, it just quietened down a bit in recent years because Utd have had their own problems selling tickets for the drabber matches in the Premiership and Champions League.

I wonder how many of the plastics would still be going to OT after 35 years without a trophy?

They forget they got 23,000 for a game v Wimbledon,21.000 for a UEFA Cup tie and just a few more for a European Final held on their own ground early 90s.

Even in the Third Division City averaged 28,000,this followed about 4 years of absolute failure,it was not a quick decline.

By Darlo standards its nothing but when in a city where the other team wins God knows how many tropies in this time its some achievement.

Since City moved into Coms they have got well over 40,000 each season as an average(pre winning the lottery) apart from one season which I think Pearce was in charge,City scored 2 or 3 goals in about 5 months at home that season.

Thats why United fans are so obsessed,I think they secretly have a respect for something they know is special,City fans.
