When a company pays you to make your kits!

Man United become the highest paid deal from a kit manufacturer. Adidas will pay £75million per year for the next decade to make their kit. This replaces the £23.5m p/a Nike were paying and the £31m per year Adidas currently pay Real Madrid.

Does anybody know with these kind of deals. Do Manchester United still get a profit from individual kit sale and this is a 'sponsorship', or do Adidas effectively produce and sell the merchandise and they make their money back from that?
