He's the new manager at Gateshead.

was Head of Recruitment at Blackpool most recently - not sure that bodes well for his aptitude in the transfer market!

That's a bit of a punt by Gateshead going for Crosby. I doubt that Gateshead will be challenging for honours next season, especially as their main backer has quit the club.

No he hasn't - Graham Wood is still the club's chairman.

He's staying on but has sold the club to new owners, who were announced last week.

Equally though, staying on as chairman doesn't mean he will continue to fund the club.

But the new owners (i.e. the new main backers) will, which is the point Pete missed out in his post.
