West Ham Disunited

This West Ham thing reminds me of our unpopular move to The Arena all those years ago under the time of Reynolds, and it just goes to prove that if you mess around with the identity of a football club too much there will be trouble.
I remember demonstrations, songs about toilets (great lyrics) failed ejections and the subsequent banning of fans.
Other similarities are striking and they include leaving a popular, deemed to be too small stadium with history, for a bleak too large stadium unsuited to the needs of the fans and the unfulfilled promise of new players and a better team. Also, out of touch owners, a change in the club's location and a change in the club's badge.
Another parallel is that that Sullivan/Gold and co have been consistently underbidding for potential players thinking that the lure of their super new stadium will entice them in, however the opposite effect has been had, this as I remember was another failed tactic of Reynolds.
I can’t see any easy fix for West Ham here - in my opinion the owners have ballsed things up big time.
