An interesting programme has turned up on BBC iPlayer.
Called “The Fort” it follows Fort William fc through last season - Fort William being the team that are forever at the bottom of the Scottish Highland league and lose most games by 7 goals or more. Sometimes getting beat 14 nil!
However (like us) there are some interesting and dedicated people behind the scenes keeping everything going, with players travelling long distances 3 times a week for the pleasure of getting minimal payment (£25) and never winning a game.
It’s a good watch.

The Fort.
Mr Singh said this " I'm not expecting to get back any of the money I've already put in, I'm prepared to write it off for the future of the club. I'm not hanging in to make any kind of financial gain in the short or long term - if someone was prepared to come in and take the club off my hands, I'd be more than willing to discuss it"

"Come on Barnestoneworth"
But that's it, isn't it?
You've got players prepared to turn out, and supporters prepared to pay to watch them.

Yeh a good interesting programme. I was amazed at their loyal fans, they seemed to have a few, who even went to away games. Now that's tough following a club that never wins, home & away.

Re: The Fort.
I see they won a cup game yesterday 5-0, perhaps they've turned a corner.
