Gazettes in Darlington
Hi folks. We are this week increasing the number of copies of the Gazette to our Darlington outlets. This is as a result of comments on this board about the rail token offer. Of course we must stress that this doesn't ensure you get train tickets, but it at least gives you a better chance of collecting the tokens.

When does the Gazette normally go on the shelves in these outlets?

Good question - not sure. Probably about from noon.

Well there was only 4 at mowden co-op and 2 left from Saturday. Free to a good home minus the tokens of course! Actually getting the gazette reminded me why I dont bother with it!

I am sat here filling in the competition to win my council tax for the year. Hands hurting now, 24 entries for me!loan_star wrote:Well there was only 4 at mowden co-op and 2 left from Saturday. I'm assuming you'll need 12 tokens, 6 going and 6 return?

Nope, 6 per person for a return journey.bigbitchtits wrote:I'm assuming you'll need 12 tokens, 6 going and 6 return?
Re: Gazettes in Darlington
Sold out at Morrisons North Road but thankfully they were taking orders for tomorrow (she said they were expecting an order of a hundred) so she's agreed to put 12 aside for me.
Called at the Co Op at Mowden on the off chance but they were completely sold out too.

Re: Gazettes in Darlington
My girlfriend got 15 copies from Morrisons Morton Park just after 12 today. Added to the three I got yesterday (leftover Saturday copies) from Neasham Road News and I've reached the magic 18 needed for three people to go to London
She's sat cutting out all the tokens now
I'm told there were plenty of copies to spare so presumably they're getting decent stocks in every day.

Re: Gazettes in Darlington
Do you need a token from each different day or just 6 tokens as I've ordered 3 gazzette's a day from Cockerton for the next week to get the 18 I require.

Re: Gazettes in Darlington
Thanks. Me and a few mates were a bit perplexed at the wording of the Gazzette's offer. Only really talks about needing tokens for a single journey. Mate in Boro got me 12 copies this evening anyway so I'm all goodChristophano wrote:Nope, 6 per person for a return journey.bigbitchtits wrote:I'm assuming you'll need 12 tokens, 6 going and 6 return?

The tokens aren't numbered so u could buy all the sane day, as I have, if u wanted.jazzydfc wrote:Do you need a token from each different day or just 6 tokens as I've ordered 3 gazzette's a day from Cockerton for the next week to get the 18 I require.

I had a drive to boro tonight and cleaned out Sainsburys of the 42 copies they had left! Think there might be a few people going without tonight!
