An end to an unbeaten run...
...and it couldn't have come at a worse time. We were awful today, the attacking side of the team was non-existent. Hatch could never get in the game, and I'm not surprised with that submissive klutz starting along side him. MBW was playing far too deep, and the full/wing backs were ineffective. The only players that I thought did well today were Miller, Burn, Chandler and possibly Verma.
Poor, poor display

Actually would rather a defeat than a draw today tbh. A draw wasn't enough and at least a defeat might give them a kick up the arse

If we win our games in hand we will still be in with a shout......but after that performance today winning them 3 or 4 games seems almost improbable.
We couldn't all be cowboys......some of us are clowns!

Re: An end to an unbeaten run...
Realistically, play-offs were always a longshot. What today proved is that, when our first eleven play well we are a good team. When they don't, or any of them are missing, we are an average side.
Hatch/Smith doesn't work as a partnership. They are too alike. Campbell needs game time, as, coming on against both Kettering and Altrincham he has looked off the pace, his touch letting him down a few times. MBW has been out of sorts both games this week, and as he is the only one with any invention, this totally reduced our chances of breaking down two teams who came for a point.

The play-offs were never realistic, we always had too much to do after dropping so many points away from home. In reality, we are now playing two games a week and some of the squad need a rest. Hatch must have played 90 minutes of every game over the past few weeks. MBW has played too many games as well, its not surprising that he went off with hamstring trouble as this often strikes tired players. The play-offs are gone, so a bit of squad rotation wouldn't go a miss.

True. I'd maybe like to see some of the fringe players and youngsters given a run out. Perhaps Phil Gray or John McReady given a couple of starts?mobi wrote:The play-offs were never realistic, we always had too much to do after dropping so many points away from home. They are but I'd still rather we got back on track and won a few when we're trying to attract fans back. Definitely time to give some fringe players a chance to stake their claim for wembley and play for contractsjjmick wrote:What for though? play-off's are out the window surely?divas wrote:a defeat might give them a kick up the arse

A nice strong finish to the season would stand us in good stead for the trophy final plus next season, keep this team playing together and we wont need the team to start gelling together like the beginning of this season
