And be careful what you wish for because it could well be the cheap option with the Boro old boys brigade. I couldn't think of anything worse than Gary Pallister or Curtis Fleming managing this football club but I'd reckon Pallister would be in with a big shout.

Marcus Law, Justin Edinburgh, Martin Gray (who i think will get 50% extra out of the current squad and wouldnt change it too much)

If darlingtontown was called hartlepooltown and had thrown as much abuse to the posters on here in the 2 days he's been a member, he would already be banned.

Clowns, tit those are what I can remember he has called some.

That's because his sole purpose isn't to bait Darlington fans.

If i was cooper i would sit the players down and talk to them.
Explain they have a responisibility.
Give them the opportunity to speak.
Tell them what you expect as manager
Tell them what is and isnt acceptable
Then start again

Correct these players must realize that they are conference player’s not premier league players and not many clubs are banging on the door offering mega deals if they want to make a living in the game its time to knuckle down and put the hard work in

Thats my way of thinking too , back the manager and the team there is no point in suggesting a new manager when we are not the ones who hire and fire !

Can't help thinking that this whole thing had its roots in the summer with amongst other things the Paul Terry debacle, bringing in 8 new players when most people ( and MC himself at the end of last season) felt we needed 4 perhas 4 at most, putting his faith in a striker who has never played 1 minute of professional football in his life.

A lot of mistakes for a guy who in general is quite thorough, organised and generally cautious.

I would like to see him stick it out as I feel he is a decent manager at this level, and we have the basis of a good team, however I think last night make be the point of no return and in the end he will go

Yes DFC is an important part of peoples life but sometimes take a step back in May I suffered a make or break situation and it puts things into perspective and our current position is nothing we the supporters can do anything about we can express or views but ultimately this decision will be made by RS. To all the people critising about DFC think yourselves lucky you can chose to go to the match and have a day out football is only 90 mims of the day its not the end of the world should we lose to lose your life is the end of the world thankfully in football they is always the next match or season.

I mean which "proper " Manager.
Sammy McIlroy.

A proper manager with a great track record of promotions in this division: Won it twice with Macclesfield (the first time their ground wasn't up to scratch) and reached the playoffs twice in his first two seasons at Morecambe (they went up at the second attempt).

Not just that but he then built on those two promotions. Macclesfield went straight up again to League 1 and Morecambe established themselves as a solid mid-table team before making the playoffs a couple of years ago.

He had one bad season last year which cost him his job but for me that doesn't make him damaged goods given his record.

He wouldn't get away with six bad games here, never mind a season.

But to answer your question Dickie Cash or Justin Edinburgh.

Can you explain yourself? Because I don't even know what sort of point that is.

Any manager would be under pressure if he delivered the performances, results and all-round mess that Cooper has managed to serve up this season.

I'm talking about a guy (McIlroy) who took Morecambe to the conference playoffs twice, up at the second attempt, then two mid-table league 2 finishes, followed by the league 2 playoffs, before having a bad season. I'd love to meet the Darlo fan who wouldn't let him "get away with six bad games" if he achieved all that for us.

In his first season, Cooper took a club on it's arse, almost got it to the play-offs, and won a trophy in his first season. He has been given, what 12 games this season, not a whole season, before that is forgotten.

Promotion was the only target set by Singh this season, Cooper knows it, the fans know it. As things stand we're a million miles from getting there and little signs that is going to change quickly.
