Sooooo.....Where and how do we go from here?
Fuck the predictable ranting and raving about Singh. He's gone, he ran out of money, its over. Nothing we can do.
Where does this place us now?
Will the rescue group be able to hammer out a deal with the Administration team?
Do we get dumped out of the league if we're not out of administration by the end of the season?
Even if we dont, will we be able to continue until the end?
Is it best for us to just fold now, or keep trying to preserve DFC in its current form?

There is still a fight to be had. We are not beaten yet.

They might lend us a lorry to take the kit etc out of the building before they bulldoze it.MikeinBlack wrote:I wonder if S&S would help out at all? Just a thought.

As all football debts have to be paid by the end of the season then yes, we will definitely be relegated. Although we will be wound up anyway.Jazz Maverick wrote:Fuck the predictable ranting and raving about Singh. He's gone, he ran out of money, its over. Nothing we can do.

I'm still hoping that the Rescue Group will have a plan and that more business people will come on board now that we're on the main TV news etc. Maybe Hodgy can help out, maybe the Council will help the Group, and we still do have the Trust.

Re: Sooooo.....Where and how do we go from here?
What you need is for your rescue group to be successful and to take over. No more "outsiders" but people with some sort of affiliation to Darlington FC.
Our fortunes turned around when a local businessman and a supporter of the team took over. Under Harold Hornsey we began to get our money situation under some sort of control, he improved the training facilities and ground over the years and slowly attracted better players. He even realised that he couldn't carry on putting money into the club himself and sold to IOR.
If you can find the Darlington equivalent of Hornsey, you will do well and hopefully have a team to follow.
To many of your previous chairman have taken over and haven't realised just what a small club means (and that not a dig, Pools are a small club) to its's supporters and there isn't money to be made from taking over.
I hope you come out of the other end and if this idea can get off

Then maybe some money can be raised for you. it's about 75% in favour at the moment.

........They can focus on nagging the council now about the land development without the distraction of a football club.
25 years down the pan. I will never attend another game unless its a totally new club with new owners that have a fresh vision for the future that does not involve the arena, hotels, bars, pop concerts, car boot sales...........

we are very excited about as we have real plans for the site in the long-term once Raj has tired of pumping his own capital into a club that has no material prospects."

Re: Sooooo.....Where and how do we go from here?
This is just my theory, and a true conspiracy one, but does anyone else think, Singh, Houghton,
Scott & Sizer are all in this together, between them they own the land, ground and club, so they basically kill off the club and wait for the council to get sick of the stadium sitting unused and probably vandalised and then they put in their planning application, which after a few arguments would probably get passed to clean up the area.

Maybe, but by the time it happens (two years?) no-one will give a crap anymore I'm afraid. It may turn out that Singh and Houghton have been in touch all along, but I'm not 100% convinced that S&S are part of it.
COME ON DARLO!
