Volunteers

As a few people on here seem dedicated to trying to get the Fleetwood game on, even if we somehow raise the funding to get the game on, the lack of staff is looking a stumbling point at the moment.

If anyone is to negotiate with the administrator to get the game up and running, it may be worth already having in hand a list of volunteers to cover various roles around the club. For example, stewards need certain training, but I'm sure there's people within our fanbase who have had such training. Then there will be other roles for those without any of those specific skills, such as ticket office, etc.

Perhaps we could start collating the various skills people can offer to the club, as it would be soul destroying to raise money to limp the club along for another week, only to fail to get the game on due to staffing issues.

Such a list may also help in the meantime with any maintenance work and other general running at the stadium?

Fleetwood don't have a match on 14th Jan & neither do we.

I wonder if the administrators have considered trying to bring it forward by a week to get revenue in quicker. It would certainly show that they are trying to buy time (if they really are...)

I'd happily be an unpaid car park steward/turnstile operator/ticket selling bloke for a day.
Alun's promise to the fans: “I’ll make sure I’ll bring players in that are value for money and I want players that want to play for Darlington Football Club, want to progress and move up the league and show the fans that passion.”

I'll chuck my name in too. I'd happily volunteer some time as a ticket/programme seller, steward, turnstile bloke etc if the club goes for the idea.

Hey I'd volunteer I don't want to sound over the top but I have experience in various roles in a football club. I've worked at Darlington, Middlesbrough Liverpool to name a few + I would very happily volunteer to help where I could. I currently work full time in a different role but I have experience in sales, receptionist, PA, conference + banqueting and PR so just drop us a message anytime ...x

Again, I'd happily help out with anything although media is my strength. I could pull in a few contacts from the Northern League and see if we could get a programme printed on the cheap somewhere.
