Well the buses where I live basically state that the drivers can't give change - so if you don't have the £1.30 say you only have a fiver then it's a rather expensive journey...I got caught out by this very early on and ended up paying £2 for a journey which was i'll be honest slightly annoying - so maybe not a tactic we want to employ.

obviously people who want change will get it but if they dont then the £2 can go in the bucket

Today the Arena had a donation box in reception, which is where you now need to go to buy tickets.
Needless to say my £2.00 change went in.

I paid £16, with a £20, and said keep the change, it felt good, and I was the first through the door which also felt good

Got there just after 9, I had to wait for the hard working staff to bring the tickets to the desk
