Fans and companies rallying to the cause.
Apparently ticket sales have been selling fast. By mid-afternoon the Northern Echo had sold over a 1000pounds and the club 1300pounds of tickets. The club are looking into how the crowd restriction of 10000 set by the council can be lifted. So even the club which is usually conservative on crowd predictions, must think there is a possibility of a very large crowd on Saturday.
Its also good to see some local businesses stepping into to help. Rockcliffe Hall Hotel at Hurworth will giving all the first team players and their partners a free night at their 5* hotel and throwing in a round of golf or time at the spa as well. Plus Cameron Brewery will be donating all the profits made from drinks sales at the game on Saturday. Its really good to see that not only fans are getting behind the club, but local business as well.

Yes, even if they were all kids tickets, it would be 460 tickets sold!
Only 144 tickets if they were all adult tickets!

Fair play to Cameron's Brewery, they are donating their proffits from beer sales to the survival fund so hopefully anybody having a pint saturday pre or post will try to make sure they do so at the stadium not elsewhere

Re: Fans and companies rallying to the cause.
It was the Echo that was saying that tickets were going quickly. I also agree I don't think it equates to many having been sold, but I didn't want to be negative! Plus it did say mid afternoon and perhaps ticket sales at the Arena may have picked up in the late afternoon/early evening period.
Re: Fans and companies rallying to the cause.
talked t loads people who cant go but have bought tickets so our attendance may not be as huge as we think

Re: Fans and companies rallying to the cause.
In relation to Pete and size of the anticipated crowd. When purchasing my ticket. A chap at the counter before me asked for a ticket near the tunnel. He was informed they were on sale at the Northern Echo offices in the Town. Having decided he did not wish to travel he was told only the last 2 blocks near the Weststand was available. I bought a ticket for the Weststand. Crowd over 10,000 everybody is talking about going.

This is something that me and my mates will be getting behind tomorrow. Big effort required.1Superlidds wrote:Fair play to Cameron's Brewery, they are donating their proffits from beer sales to the survival fund so hopefully anybody having a pint saturday pre or post will try to make sure they do so at the stadium not elsewhere

Big effort required - love it and enjoy yourselves. I've been lurking on here for the last few weeks sharing your roller-coaster ride. I wish you all the luck in the world. Long live Darlo FC

Got some tickets today, did not realise you could only get West Stand tickets at the stadium, for south you needed to go to the Northern Echo office, nevermind, will be there

Re: Fans and companies rallying to the cause.
I said the Echo were selling tickets for the tunnel areas. Darlo only had tickets available for the 2 blocks near to the weststand. I purchased a ticket 4 the weststand. Crowd big enough to open extra stand. Oh and 10000 looking good.
