7-2
A lot more confident after that, despite the result! We were a lot better than we were on thursday.
Arnison - Better than Starosta sign him up.
The keeper - Did better than Knight on Thursday, good back up, if not number 1.
The left back - Brilliant, no nonsence and a lot better than James.
Convery improved as the game went on but was no better than average throughout.
Williams? - 50/50 really, some errors but looked good enough back up to Foster/Miller/Plummer.
All round performance was a lot better than Thursday, Windass ran the show grabbing 2 goals.
Well done to DFC, the game ran smoothly with no delays. Good idea to stop the cars leaving the ground until all fans have been deployed from the stadium.

Re: 7-2
We have just conceded SEVEN and you are seriously telling me the defenders and keepers are good? The only good defenders we have are the two that didn't play, Foster and Miller.
We are doomed this season, one long struggle ahead.

Re: 7-2
No your wrong.
A team of:
Knight
Arnison Foster Miller Lamplough
Franks Smith Lumsdon Smith
Waghorn Windass
Will see us through the season well, at least 10th position.
Replace Waghorn with Thorpe and Franks with Convery and then we're looking at 15th if we can't find anyone better.

Re: 7-2
Yes but... We have not signed Arnison, Lamplough, Franks and Waghorn. Have we? No. And neither can we afford to either because the budget = spent according to Todd. Add on top of that the probability that Lumsdon Smith and other Smith may well suffer injuries who do we have to step in? Well there's Doninger (who I think would be good) and Convery, but we have not signed them either. Have we? No. And neither can we afford to either because the budget = spent according to Todd.RealStadiumDFC wrote:No your wrong.

As things stand, we are s*** and doomed, simple as that.
And if our budget is spent on only 17 low paid players including 4 youngsters then you have to ask how realistic the budget is. How low is it? And why? Answers please Raj. Yes I do understand the need for a realistic budget but not the worst budget in the entire football league, considering we do not have the worst income.
Re: 7-2
i was not at the game but did deano have a good game am talking about windass.I like to know how was his fitness did he play the whole 90mins or not.Lee Thorpe did he play how was he and i am glad to hear the game went great with out any problems remembers its only pre season game we may have lost 7-2.
We need couple of players who will bring experience to the team and help the young kids out.
How were the trailist were there any good for darlington fc or not i am hoping to go to next game of darlington.

Because we have space for "a" trialist to join? Decisions, decisions....RealStadiumDFC wrote:Why would we be trialing players if the budget had been used.
I'd be amazed if we got all of Lamplough, Arnison, Franks and Waghorn...that would take us past our allowed squad of 20 too, plus no room for either Convery or Doninger either. Anyhow, who the fuck is Lamplough and can we say he is any good on one showing? And isn't Arnison cack anyway?

Re: 7-2
Franks and Waghorn will have a percentage of their wage paid by their parent clubs. Plus we'll have other loanees from Sunderland and Boro, who will also have wages coming in from their parent clubs. I can see us getting 4 loanees, and signing 2 of the trialists.
Re: 7-2
Which bit of "taken past our squad limit" do you not understand?
We are only ALLOWED 18 outfield players plus 2 keepers, it is the rules.
Loan, permanent, affordability, makes no difference, we can sign no more than 3 more players until the league says otherwise.

Supporting DARLO might be a heartache but it's a heartache I chose to have.

It can be, and is, right.RealStadiumDFC wrote:As we are allowed 7 subs, that means a squad of 18, leaving us only 2 'spare' players. That can't be right?

Re: 7-2
Okay but hes still a nob lmao also can you find me a source for Todd supposedly saying the budgets spent up and also where it says Darlo can only have 20 players. I agree that it is going to be a long and difficult season but i keep very up to date with the club although these may just be two things i havent picked up on. I think the team might benefit from not having the same pressure that the previous squad had to be promoted aslong as they have a relatively injury free season but then again it is Darlo.
Re: 7-2
It is not a fact therefore it is neither "incorrect" as you say, or "correct". It is my opinion that we are doomed and s***, and your opinion that we aren't.RealStadiumDFC wrote:But 'Doomed' and 's***' is incorrect.
0-4
2-7
Players like Craig James and Mark Convery
Work it out mate, work the fucker out.
Re: 7-2
Arnison, other than his blunder for the 1st goal did ok, nothing special though. Williams can go back to Scotland if he likes after that showing. Convery, for all his graft, isnt going to add anything to the squad. We desperately need some genuine pace & awareness up front.

I am your source and I am right.Alex-DFC-Enthusiast wrote:Okay but hes still a nob lmao also can you find me a source for Todd supposedly saying the budgets spent up and also where it says Darlo can only have 20 players.
It is a fact that a club in administration can only have 20 players and that condition is lifted not when the club exits administration but when the league says so. This is pure correct fact.
Todd has made more references to being spent up than I've had hot dinners and if you need a source for that, then I can only assume you woke from a 3 month coma yesterday.

ere right we have muppets like you on the boro boards and we tell them where to go to be honest. Yes its a football forum and its your opinion, its valid and you entitled to it but if you dont have anything positive to say then get lost mate, hardly a great fan, try being positive about your team. You arent in the best position yes everyone can see that but for fuck sake try and be a bit positive. Your lucky you have a fucking club so try smiling about it for once. I am negative about my team and about darlo as well but im positive as well, you should try it.

Read your post again, realise it is contradictory and makes little sense, then shut up you fucking spanner.

23rd.RealStadiumDFC wrote:We're coming out of administration on the 21st.
There is no reason why the FA will not allow this to be lifted.
It will be weeks after that before any embargos are lifted, all sorts of red tape has to be cut, meeting and ratifications need to happen, blah, blah, blah. There is being out of administration, then there is satisfying the league.
Do you not remember our last administration?
We were already a new club and out of administration at this point, but we were stuck with the 20 man limit, and no strikers that were any good, until September when we signed Hignett and Armstrong.
Re: 7-2
So what you're saying is... this is a football forum and he's entitled to share his opinion, but should basically just fuck off if his opinion isn't a positive one. Superb logic there, gold star.Alex-DFC-Enthusiast wrote:Yes its a football forum and its your opinion, its valid and you entitled to it but if you dont have anything positive to say then get lost mate, hardly a great fan, try being positive about your team.

Re: 7-2
We've just competed in 2 games which we were not expected to win, but its the goals we've conceded that is a real problem, 3 of the 4 goals against Sunderland was down to errors from our players and it continued today, errors leading to goals, granted in league 2 the mistakes wont always be capitilised on but ts something that needs to be wiped out
