No, he was an unused sub again. We actually look stronger in the centre of midfield than anywhere else - Gary Smith genuinely looks a very good player and Lumsden should be more than good enough for League Two - but it seems daft to have the lad on trial yet not give him a run-out in a match situation.

We do need another midfielder though because it is asking a bit much for Lumsden and Smith to play every game, so somebody young and cheap like Doninger would fit the bill as a squad player ESPECIALLY if he is actually a good player - which Todd is not going to find out with Doninger sat with his thumb up his arse.

it beggars belief why doninger has sat on the bench for 180 mins while a couple of lads that already have contracts for next season have played the whole time - obviously todd wants them to form an understanding, must be the only reason not to have played doninger

that said he put bennett on for gray today and went 1 up top with windass - he could have stuck doninger on instead and played him in the hole between midfield and the striker - he's a goalscoring midfielder so this would have suited him to a tee surely?!?!

he didnt look a happy chappy at the end - id be very surprised if he's still here for the hamilton game on weds as he's not gonna earn himself a contract by not playing - he may as well be somewhere else at least being given half a chance

id like to hear from "toddy" as to why we havent seen him yet

Maybe it's a case that once he's got here he's realised that his wage demands are going to be too much for us, but saying that you'd think that if that was the case he wouldn't even be on the subs bench. Very bizzare.

if thats the case he's wasting the poor lads time, he could have featured in 2 games for an other club in the hope of getting fixed up. i personally doubt we'd be able to offer arnison anything but he's still playing.
