Given that Boro put 3 past Macc today - I'd settle for a 3 goal difference or better. Towards the end of last season, after admin, injuries and the return of loanees we were more or less par with Macc.

At the end of the day , its just about gettin players match fit and used to each other.
And helpin darlo with your coffers too.
After what you went thru last season , i reckon you've done well to put a team together.

Whilst I agree with most of that, it's still not good for morale to be given a few pastings before such an important season for us.

very true but playing games against local non league teams doesnt generate much interest,at this stage of the season as well as being for players fitness the games are a PR exercise, i still wouldnt mind seeing Man U at the Arena even with the prospect of a big thrashing, im sure our players recognise that there are some very good players out there in higher leagues playing at a level they never will.....im convinced Curtis Main would love to play against Man U/Liverpool etc etc even if it was 18.0 to them

As long as we give Bradford P A a pasting in return that should restore morale before the start of the season.
