Was hoping for a good reaction after the news on their wages. It's the same bunch of players that performed so well at home to York...

I'm looking at our line up, and to be honest, despite our troubles it looks good enough to give a tinpot pub side like these c**** a game.

Yet we are fucking losing 3-1 to 10 men. We can't score, the midfield creates nowt, the defence is feckless.

Can anybody come up with a reason why we are so s***?

Keltie's added nothing since coming back. What use will he be to us, when we hardly hear his name on the commentary.

Ramshaw OFF & Hopson ON.

I know I'm going to get shot down here, because the manager is a club legend and hero, but can he actually manage?

Todays shambles says no.

Fire away everybody.

Alfreton seem to be creating most of the chances and they have only got 10 men. We're really sinking fast and now Brown is injured.

It's experience that Lidds doesn't have Quakerz. He has the players support clearly and he knows how to man manage, but has no experience of being in the hot seat.

And very few experienced professionals left at the club, and no opportunity to improve the squad.

Bath are drawing 1-1 with Ebbsfleet; and Ebbsfleet's goalie has been sent off.
Hayes & Yeading are losing 4-0 to Wrexham.
Kettering are losing 1-0 to Barrow.
AFC Telford are beating Braintree 1-0.
Lincoln City are beating Kidderminster 1-0.
Newport County are beating Mansfield Town 1-0.
Stockport County are beating York City 1-0.

As Anthony P says, it's because 70% of our team doesn't have the nouse to beat teams like Alfreton especially away from home. Too wet behind the ears although they do have potential. Also don't forget we've got an 18 year old defender with about 5 senior starts alongside a central midfielder in defence.

I know that, however my point was that looking at our starting 11, it looks reasonably competetive, yet we are FUCKING s*** despite it.

If Brown is injured can we get a replacement in, didn't it say in the papers that lidds was looking at a Center back but couldn't get him in?

if its the BSN then thats what it is- way may have to go down to come back stronger - its going to take a long time to re-build Liddle has got an impossible job anyway.

To be fair, we've had very few players who have had tremendous upheaval and will be knackered (albeit they've had a bit of a rest recently) with youth teamers plugging gaps.

I don't think games or results at times like this are an indication if anybody can or can't manage. Being able to just field a team in our situation is testament to Lidds

RUBBISH.

Plenty of experience today in Arnison, Brown, Taylor, Rundle, Keltie, Bridge-Wilkinson.

It shows how bad we are at the moment, when we're outplayed by Alfreton. No disrespect to Alfreton but we should be beating sides like this, not taking a sound beating. Not good enough.

This could not be going any worse.

All five teams immediately around us are winning: Alfreton, Telford, Stockport, Newport and Lincoln. How many times do you get that many relegation threatened teams picking up three points on the same day?

... Immediately around us as things stand anyway. I'm looking at the live table. Kettering are getting beat thankfully. Six winners around us would be outrageous.

We thought that about dropping from league 2 though. Drop any more and we we'll be playing R.A.

yes but Bath, Kettering and Hayes are losing - these three look gone - its between us and Alfreton so its not too bad.

Why are these experienced players not playing well? Hardly Lidds fault if they wont play well

Shame the experience in the defence is at full-back. Like I say a partnership of Harrison and Taylor at CB is always going to be difficult to keep clean sheets with and with Bowman as our only option up front goals are hard to come by. We'd have half a chance if we had a solid defence or a frontline who could score a few. We have neither = no chance.

No attempts at goal since they went down to ten men judging by the bbc stats
