Is there any way of setting a counter (character) to stay within the 60,000. I have tried to compose an extensive post, twice, and been asked to login again, when going to 'submit'

You've probably tried typing it out and in that time your the site has logged you out because you've been inactive for so long. I'm sure nobody needs to type that much however!

How about making it more concise? Qz is right, the best you could hope for from a post that size is skim read.
