Somebody bought me a Darlo car air freshener for my birthday this year. I have honestly never smelled anything so rank. I ended up hanging it off the towbar of the van as i couldn't bear to throw anything with the DFC badge on it in the bin.

Bishop Auckland had their own real ale for a while, brewed in Ferryhill I think? (I got given a bottle when they opened their new ground).

Theres a few small brewerys in the area, one of whom might like a little publicity. Maybe if they were approached to supply an 1883 best bitter, or a Quaker Stout they might do it for the club at a cut down price, or donate an amount from every barrel sold?
I'd imagine Wetherspoons, and maybe some of the other alehouses in town might be persuaded to stock it as well.

Does anyone remember who brewed the Craig Liddle beer?

But an aftershave? Seems a little far fetched to me!

I think Darlo could produce a fragrance that encapsulates the last ten years, we could call it eau de toilet

Boom boom

In other news I was also bought the Darlo Air Freshener some time back. It kind of reminded me of a new car smell, if you happened to buy your new cars complete with a three week old corpse in the boot.

Were those car air fresheners from the Reynolds era? We had more money than scents back then.
