If the FA bloke on the non league show...
If the FA bloke on the non league show...
...is typical of those in charge of our game (as I feel he is) then I would like to see their decisions stand up in a court of law. He didnt have a clue and yet seems to have been one of the key decision makers in our case!!
Totally incompetent.

What was his name ? Appleby ?
Or his position ?

Re: If the FA bloke on the non league show...
What was his name? I missed the start of the show.
Anyway, he seemed clueless. Naming a load of clubs that actually went bust to prove why we shouldn't keep our name! We haven't gone bust you idiot!! And if we have, why have we still got debt and why are we allowed to play this season. It's unbelievable.

Re: If the FA bloke on the non league show...
We won't have the money to take this to a court of law.
And listening to his complete lack of understanding of the basic concept of clubs coming out of administration vs clubs who actually fold, I actually don't see any POINT in appealing, as unfair as it is!
On top of that, even if they ended up agreeing our appeal was right, then you've got the ground situation.

His name was Mike something or other, something like Mike Hunt.
Re: If the FA bloke on the non league show...
It may not need to go that far, a decent solicitor would be able to draft up a letter that would have them bricking it.Quakerz wrote:We won't have the money to take this to a court of law.

I doubt it. I've given up hope. Don't suppose it will hurt to appeal though.

Couldn't help but notice the FA man had a north-east accent.
Not sure from where exactly but it was certainly the NE.
This man has a grudge me thinks!

Thing is though Quakerz, if this guy was on the panel that made the decision, his performance tonight proved he didnt have a clue about what our true situation is. How can someone so ill informed make a judgement like we have been lumbered with? He wouldnt stand a chance against a solicitor, his argument was so full of holes it could have been made in a polo factory.
Re: If the FA bloke on the non league show...
His name was Mike Appleby.
He was completely dismissive and obdurate throughout. I just can't see how any appeal could get past somebody like that. He wasn't just ignorant of our plight but seemed to be firmly entrenched in that ignorance and lack of understanding, and didn't care how contradictory he sounded.

When I turned it on, he said something along the lines of "what is this football share people keep talking about?". Clueless.loan_star wrote:Thing is though Quakerz, if this guy was on the panel that made the decision, his performance tonight proved he didnt have a clue about what our true situation is. Sounds like Mike Appleby.
He is the League and Clubs Manager.
I have come across him before. I have not been impressed.

He was pulling the strings with Billingham Town.
We are still in business.
Enough said.

You mean XXXXXXXXXXXXX ?
Mod edit: If people really want his email address they can find it, but there's too much danger of someone spouting off something offensive to him to leave it here for everyone to see easily.

Please don't anybody send something ridiculously offensive. If anyone is to email, make a well though out point.

Re: If the FA bloke on the non league show...
Well it's hardly going to help us if he gets a barrage of emails saying nothing more than "The FA are twats", as much as that would be tempting to send!!!
Re: If the FA bloke on the non league show...
A crumb of comfort that he said the panel were impressed with Dennis. However I can't get my head around the fact that he listened to a two hour representation from 1883 and still seemed not to have the slightest understanding of what we'd done. Convinced that we hadn't paid any debt...

Re: If the FA bloke on the non league show...
Can i suggest you ask him things like:
1. Why does the FA allow the football share to be held by a different legal entity from the registered playing entity ?
2. If the share certificate belongs to the playing entity why does it not pass to the administrator of a limited company like all other assets of a limited company ?
3. What does the FA intend to do to stop an individual from refusing to hand over the football share without imposing conditions ?

Re: If the FA bloke on the non league show...
One thing I dont understand, If we are as he `says` a new club, how come we couldnt buy the assests of Darlo FC without taking on the TUPE side of things, not only are we honouring the players back wages but non footballing staff have been paid too. Now I`m not saying we shouldnt be doing this, but I cannot justify in my head why we are a new club with these conditions in place to enable us to `buy the club`

Do the Dan Burn clauses not stand anymore then?
Re: If the FA bloke on the non league show...
You may also want to ask him if - in the light of his broken promises - he considers Mr Singh to be a fit and proper person and what the FA proposes to do to stop chairmen in the future from scuppering CVAs by demanding repayment of their "loans". Singh got you into the mess and then stopped you getting out of it.

Excellent questions. What we need is for someone to compose an e-mail, and we could bomard his e-mail inbox. If only one person sends an e-mail, it will be in the recycle bin at 9am tomorrow morning!Rumps wrote:Can i suggest you ask him things like:
