BBC Tees speak to David Hodgson, Mon night, 6pm
Hi - we've got a special interview with David Hodgson on BBC Tees Sport tonight after 6.
Interesting to hear his views on what's happened to ther club plus he speaks
about his efforts to try and get backers on board earlier this year and the frustration of not getting a deal done.
95FM, DAB and online on BBC Tees Sport (6-7pm) tonight.
James

Will it be available tomorrow online, for those exiles unable to hear it live tonight? Unfortunatelt the local library won't stay open late just for me.
Re: BBC Tees speak to David Hodgson, Mon night, 6pm
I'll definitely be tuning into this one because Hodgy won't care about telling the truth about the actions of Radged Strings.
Re: BBC Tees speak to David Hodgson, Mon night, 6pm
I know under his pay off from Houghton he had to sign a non disclosure agreement but I doubt that extended to Raj. Also the fact Hodgy appears more vocal at present perhaps the non disclosure has run its time. I'll be tuning in.Quakerz wrote:I'll definitely be tuning into this one because Hodgy won't care about telling the truth about the actions of Radged Strings.

Hopefully, it will be explosive.
Re: BBC Tees speak to David Hodgson, Mon night, 6pm
No doubt BBC Tees will have Raj on the phone like they usually do in anything Darlo related.

I think it's a recorded interview?

I could listen to Hodgy all day talking about Darlo - his passion would struggled to be matched, a massive bonus he is involved in 1883

Perhaps the fact that Hodgy was facilitating the Snow dome deal was the only new thing for me..

Re: BBC Tees speak to David Hodgson, Mon night, 6pm
The snowdome thing was interesting. I read recently that at the moment about 36 new snowdomes are in the planning stages for the UK. There's 5 open at the moment. Glasgow,Manchester, Milton Keynes,Tamworth and one in Castleford. The point here is that at sometime - one will probably open up in our area, so why not Darlo?
Hodgy said something like this re Singh - - having lost the amount of money he claimed he had, relinquishing that (money) became the stumbling block to deals breaking down - - and he also said something like - - he (Hodgy) wasn't in on any of the meetings about the snowdome /Arena/land, but the snowdome people pulled out as they were not happy with how the business talks were being handled by a certain person.
The previous paragraph is my personal interpretation of what came across.
A long time ago I reached the conclusion that negotiating is not one of Mr Singh's strong points.

Yes - he's a real international jet setter these dayssacko_uk wrote:Did he say anything exciting?
No revelations tho he gave Martin Gray a massive thumbs up - said that this is "his time".
Has absolute confidence in him getting us back up the leagues.
Hodgy (Hodjun to some) says he will never be Darlo manager again but will sit on the advisory panel.
Overall he sounded very upbeat about our future and I, for one, am very happy he is on board.

Classic Hodgy, it's as if he's never been away. Full of it.
Do you get the impression he didn't like Dave Penney?

"At a meeting held at the Grammar School on Friday last - Mr Phillip Wood M.A., in the chair - it was resolved to form an Association Football Club for Darlington and neighbourhood. The opinions of those present were so unanimous as to the desirability of this step, that a committee was formed to complete the organisation of the club, and Mr Craven, 17, Garden Street, was appointed secretary pro tem." - The Northern Echo, Monday 23rd July 1883

Shame about this if Gray does well i can see him been headhunted quite quickly obviously other candiates out there and this is something thats very far off at momentThe_Ponderer wrote:Yes - he's a real international jet setter these dayssacko_uk wrote:Did he say anything exciting?
