We just need to think of the name with the most boring suffix that the press will shorten to Darlington. On that score Darlington AFC seems to fit the bill.

I'm sure at the beginning of the original suggestion that we would have to change our name the FA 'suggested' that we avoided the use of AFC Darlington or Darlington AFC? No point going to all the trouble of choosing the name and registering to find out far too late down the line that we are unable to use the name and face further penalties?

Why shouldn't we be allowed AFC. It's different. They didn't stop Rushden and Diamonds using it.

Av being saying it for years on here .... These poolie types just can't help it. We couldn't get ourselves further off their radar if we tried ... yet they're still envious and jeolous of anything and everything that is Darlo. This whole poll thing is just a classic ....

.... Makes me even more proud to be Darlo (if that is possible) and more happy (if that is possible) that I don't wake up every morning in poolie land and district supporting that shower of brainless inbreds.
