Retail Outlet in Town Centre
Hi All
We are in the final stages of setting up a semi-permanent retail outlet in the Town Centre.
This is a call for volunteers to help man the outlet - opening hours will be dependent on the number of suitable volunteers coming forward and their availability.
We may not be open every day initially but it is hoped that the outlet can be manned from 10am to 4pm.
The outlet will be selling the full range of clothing currently available and other lines as they are introduced. A selection of smaller items from the online shop will also be carried.
The outlet will sell season tickets and/or take deposits and it will also be taking cash/cheque investments for the CIC.
If interested, please PM your details and availability. It is our intention to put together a rota which will give you a regular slot(s) on the same day/time every week so that this can become part of a routine. We do not want to have to call on people at short notice.
Thank you
Ralph Naden

If you look at the original message, bottom left hand corner is a PM option, just click it and you should be able to message Ralph.

@onewayup - you have disabled Private Messages - I think only the site Admins and Mods can contact you.

Looks like The_Ponderer is right.The_Ponderer wrote:@onewayup - you have disabled Private Messages - I think only the site Admins and Mods can contact you.
To enable private messages;
1) Click "User Control Panel" at the top of the board.
2) Select "Board Preferences" from the list of the left.
3) Select the 'yes' radio button next to "Allow users to send you private messages".

Chaps
Thanks for Policing the message and leaving helpful hints while I've been away. I'll try and get in touch with oneway and fozz in the morning - but it looks as though PMs are not as straight forward as I thought.
I wanted to avoid putting a "live" email address directly on here for obvious reasons.
The retail outlet is indoors and cosy at this time of year! So come in out of the rain and help Darlo!!

Yeah, you'd be slated.wylam_rangers wrote:I wanted to avoid putting a "live" email address directly on here for obvious reasons.
On a related note; Have they sorted official domain email addresses yet? I'd say that would be right down your street vis a vis expertise.

Am on this one (honest!), but it's been put back due to other time pressures. I want to move us onto Exchange rather than the crappy IMAP thing we're using at the moment.Christophano wrote:On a related note; Have they sorted official domain email addresses yet? Got a test server up and running, and hope to finish testing and shift over (and therefore issue folk with proper addresses) in the next 7-10 days.
I have wider IT plans too which I have my team of minions working on...

Don't knock it! My husband gave me a great T-shirt for my birthday with the slogan: "Sacrificing minions: Is there any problem it can't solve?!"Hilly wrote:Fly my prettys, fly!herts_darlo wrote: Am on this one (honest!), but it's been put back due to other time pressures. (Actually, one of the mods edited that in for me. - won't attempt to guess who!!)
Thanks to everyone who has volunteered so far. I will be replying personally to you all over the weekend and adding more contact details.
As an update to progress I am busy sorting out Merchant Services accounts so that we can take card payments in the outlet.
Shameless bump for the benefit of anyone still wishing to volunteer. Gentle reminder to add availability and a contact number when replying by PM.
Thanks
