Hahahaha love the forest setting it looks like it's been taken in. I know the Echo had an exclusive on this so they wanted to keep it from being photographed and circulated before the article was published. Can just picture them all sneaking over the beck at Longfield and doing a quick covert change behind the bushes.

Gary Brown looks German.

Reminds me of the 2007 / 2008 Vandanel home shirt.

Looks good. I like the way the sponsor is split over separate stripes, and the crest appears smaller than the away kit. Is it embroidered?

Oh, I don't like the red on the shorts though, but I assume black trim wasn't available/extra cost, so no problem.

What are the alternatives?

Making it so small it fits on one hoop.
A stick-on white patch with black text (or vice-versa).
A different colour that shows up if it crosses hoops, probably red.

All crap ideas. The current one is definately the right choice!

People moaned about the stick on patch, but it's other that option or this one.

Personally I think it looks ok.

I think it looks fine.

Shorts could have had black trim, doubt that re was the only "off the peg" trim colour.

Maybe, but black possibly wasn't. So it is red, or blue, or yellow or whatever, so red wins.

Although I wouldn't mind seenig a return to a bit of yellow trim like we had on some earlier kits.

The Macron Hun is available in white with black trim. Nevermind, we'll have more time to get it perfect for next season.

I used to like the yellow trim, i even liked the blue trim on those Hutchison Telecom shirts.

When anyone has any news on them becoming available, I'm sure it'll be posted on the official site / here. Until that time I'm afraid you're just going to have to be patient.

In terms of pre-ordering one, I'm sure it's been said that you can go to the club shop and do so - you might want to confirm that though.

I didn't say I had any better ideas, I simply said that you were the first person I'd seen to say you like the way the sponsor is laid out.

You can place an order at the club shop.

I did it earlier this week.

Easy.

From the first batch - just arrived - we can now honour the pre-ordered larger sizes.

There are no child sizes received yet - this is regretable - but will be rectified asap.

We will ask you to double-check sizes on receipt as we expect some adjustment to requirements. We are 2 down on the Large size but XL or M adjustment up or down may free some - and we will allocate first-come first-served in the L size.

We also have quite a few away strips (which include shorts) which may keep some supporters happy.

The shop staff are grateful for your patience whilst we rebuild our credit and credibility.

We have been overwhelmed by the goodwill shown to us locally and this is gradually spreading to our national suppliers. The Club is now in good hands and our aim is to meet all your requirements as quickly as we can.

Great news and good work guys, I'll be down for my two pre ordered shirts tomorrow.

How utterly refreshing that home tops are available before the first match of the season, just goes to prove how badly run the club has been over the years.

2 questions which I'm still not clear on:

1) How does an exile go about getting a home shirt? Can I ring up and order, or PM you on here Ralph? Will they be made available online like the away shirt? I'd prefer to do it that way as it saves the number of parties that have to get involved, and probably reduces postage as well.
2) Is the crest printed, or embroidered?

I'm very happy about the strip. We've been forced to do so much to change our identity, so its great that the strip is so Darlington FC.
In fact... quiz question: Which teams have worn black and white hoops in the past??
let's get a new FA. This one's broken.

I've not been told anything lately in terms of making them available online, and I would have thought that I would have been told a while ago to make sure things were prepared, so with this in mind I don't think anything is going to happen in the short term.

With the Club Shop now having the card payment system, perhaps you can ring up and purchase one over the phone?

Printed, but not stuck on, sublimated print similar to the old ISL/Hutchinson strips from the early 90's
