Say nothing, ignore it and carry on.
Re: West Auckland £2 Entry on Saturday!
I'm sure something was said last night that there's a minimum you can charge or have West flaunted this too? They simply don't give a s***

Yep, now that the opportunist price-hike debacle is done and dusted West Auckland aren't really significant enough for us to be paying much attention to.

Re: West Auckland £2 Entry on Saturday!
Is it £2 for those attending with ticket stubs from the Darlo game and £5 for the rest perhaps? Wasn't it mentioned that there was a free/reduced entry for West fans at their next game after paying the increased entrance fee to watch Darlo?
COME ON DARLO!

Re: West Auckland £2 Entry on Saturday!
Jesus - what a tinpot cowboy pub team. For a club with the history they have they should have some experience of PR, perception, the media etc. surely if they followed the classier examples of say Durham City they would be held in much higher esteem. In fact, they could go one step further and become bastions for all that is good in non-league football.
Instead they seem destined to wallow in obscurity and have ambitions to purely survive in the league they're in. I simply cannot understand any football fan wanting to associate themselves with this club and therefore their values.
I'd be interested to know what Mike Amos makes of this.

Re: West Auckland £2 Entry on Saturday!
I thought dennis said something on monday evening about clubs not being able to reduce their costs but no rule about raising them ?
although i may be getting confused about what he was saying about the north west counties league ?
either way this is not something that really deserves any more of our time discussing !
I just cant wait till they come to HP and we show them how teams should be welcomed, with open arms and a friendly smile, raising above all that has gone before and showing what a truly proffessional outfit we really are compared to some of the teams in this division.
I hope they go away from heritage park feeling truly embarassed at the reception our fans and board have given them.
I vote for a gentlemans applause when they score their inevitable goal and celebrate like league champions, and a good old fashioned hazzaarr when we tear them apart in the second half, hell why not a 3 cheers for west auckland at the full time whistle !
integrity 1 - 0 shame

Re: West Auckland £2 Entry on Saturday!
I wouldn't mind some clarification on this point. I'm pretty sure the rule in the NW counties league was about not being allowed to raise them mid season. I'll see if I can grab Deniis tonight. The FA point was to do with BA offering season ticket holders free access.andi_darlo wrote:I thought dennis said something on monday evening about clubs not being able to reduce their costs but no rule about raising them ?

Re: West Auckland £2 Entry on Saturday!
We complain about greedy Premiership teams but I believe that WA are even worse than they are when it comes to bare faced greed and short term profit.
Perhaps the rest of the NL will now realise just how parochial and self centred this odious little outfit is.
It shames the league and worse gives the NL unwelcome national negative publicity.
If in the future other North Football league clubs are unlucky enough to drop for whatever reason into the NL then they know what awaits them.H***pool be aware...Mr Amos must put rules in place for next season to stop such shameful profiteering by WA and any other clubs who wish to follow in their footsteps.

Re: West Auckland £2 Entry on Saturday!
Lets get some perspective. Greed depends on whether you make a profit in the first place. Man Utd made a profit of £20m last year, do we know whether West Auckland even make a profit?jimmytheseal wrote:We complain about greedy Premiership teams but I believe that WA are even worse than they are when it comes to bare faced greed and short term profit.

They will be laughing even more now that there above us in the form table and were only third, the pitch forks will be shaken in jubilation instead of anger and a virgin may be sacrificed tonight (I know there ain't any there)

Re: West Auckland £2 Entry on Saturday!
Fuck West Auckland, they are a disgrace to North East Football in my opinion and they are a disgrace to there history and heritage...I have no time or respect for West Auckland, but I do have respect for there achievments in the early 20th Century, I find it rather ironic that a play about West Auckland was put on to raise money for us in the summer.
They are insignificant and a waste of space, West is a skidmark on the underpants of the Northern League, and I would not be all bothered if they went bust tomorrow

Re: West Auckland £2 Entry on Saturday!
Unfortunately we ( D.F.C. ) have been under the control of some dodgy people recently. Some of the things G.R. did reflected badly on the club.Putting up stupid signs outside The Arena, late night visits, I could go on.
If I was a W.A.T fan I would be embarrassed right now.
