Convery and Franks

Post by StevieMardenboro » Tue Jul 21, 2009 11:02 pm

From what Todd said tonight it seems Convery has earned himself a deal. If so I am really pleased for him and hope he proves any doubters wrong in the months ahead.

Also I notice on BBC Tees' website there is a piece about Jonathan Franks aiming to be a regular for Boro's first team this season . . . doesn't sound like a player ready for a year on loan in league two?

This does seem to be the case... Hopefully he will not be first choice, although he tries hard he just isn't good enough.

I doubt Franks will be coming here. Bridges is not either. Same applies to the kid from S/land. Pleasing is the fact Todd recognises the exposed fullbacks being inadequet. Thus he is bringing two new defenders. Conceading 7 against the geordies who could not hit a barndoor with a banjo is proof enough. When they played Billingham the fullbacks were torn apart.
