Darlos new kit?
Darlos new kit?
I don't know if there's any truth in this, but a friend at the game today that Isis are going to be the kit manufacturers, and that we couldn't find a kit manufacturer at this late stage who could make hoops and was also cheap enough, so it'll be a white top, with black bits on the arms.
Oh how I loved my Soccerdome kit , please not one of those again. I know Isis are suppliers to a lot of non league teams, and the quality of the kit is not a patch on the ones we've had in recent years, but it probably won't effect the price we're charged for them.
Anyway, it may not be true, I was just wondering if anyone had heard anything along these lines?

I heard it was errea that were going to produce our new tops, still no official word on it and were still using the Vandanel gear, its a shame we cant stick with them, they made some real good stuff

Re: Darlos new kit?
In view of whats happened this summer I'll let a white top pass but nex season it's got to be back to the hoops. No other team in the league has our kit and we should not let our heritage be taken away.
Re: Darlos new kit?
I Did hear it was errea who used to do Boros tops all white with black trim & red collar.
tbh I would wellcome a change from hoops for a while as the last few tops all look the same.

Re: Darlos new kit?
Cool, as long as it's not Isis it's fine by me.
But yeah as you say trotskycat, given our last few months we can accept a short break from hoops.

I can't find Isis's website? Only one I can find of relevence is womans sportswear.
Re: Darlos new kit?
We have probably had more tops without hoops than with them I think a change is as good as a rest.darlogaz wrote:the hoops are our history wont feel the same without em!

Re: Darlos new kit?
Got no problems with a white top for the season, but the hoops is something i would want to return, like someone else has stated, we're the only team in the leagues that have black and white hoops
Re: Darlos new kit?
Darlo used hoops in the main until the late 50s & are truly part of our heritage.
Re: Darlos new kit?
Apart from the fact last season we didnt have hoops, we had horizontal stripes on the front and a plain back.

Re: Darlos new kit?
1910 till 1951 we wore hopes, then went to plain white from 1951 till 1989. Since then we wore hopes between 1989-1991, 1995-1996, 2004-2009.
So its 50 years wearing hoops, 52 years without hoops, couldnt find anything before 1910

Re: Darlos new kit?
last time we won the league was the kit all white?
i heard whispers today from one of the parents of a lad in the youth team saying the new kits had turned up yesterday and they were waiting to print the number, not sure if they will be playing in the same kit as the first team but i would have thought so.
So we might see it for the sunderland, newcastle, boro matches.

I can't see us selling many of these shirts if they're mainly just plain. They don't sound very exciting.

Re: Darlos new kit?
Speaking to an informed source last night, (I was up there having a meal in Hurworth), the strip will be white with 5 hoops 65mm wide, also in white.
It should look good.
