I appreciate that this is last seasons attendance table, however it does highlight that we will be entering a league very similar to the Northern League Division 1 we are about to leave.
The highest attendance was 506 over the entire season.
It is no wonder we are eagerly anticipated, as we are , yet again, going to be teams 'pay day'.

Absolutely, and the league above and possibly the league above that.
We have the numbers that are found in the conference so until we are back up that end we will always be a big day. Just as FC united are at the minute. And Chester were as they came bouncing through the leagues.

The only difference is its hardly an away trip to Shildon is it?
How many people are going to go to an away game in Manchester area on a Wednesday night in winter.
Saturday afternoon may get a few hundred going.
They may get more home attendance due to a 'big' team arriving

For some teams even a coach load would be better than would they get ordinarily.
Some cracking little grounds in the Evo Stik. Some horrible places as well!!!

The numbers will not be the same as this year, however there is a hard core of Darlo fans who travel up and down the country to away games and also we have a number of 'exiles' who can get to these games quite easily and in fact look forward to their 'local' fixture.
I have travelled up and down the country over the years and am looking forward to these new grounds, even if they are on a cold January Wednesday night.
I anticipate that there will be at least 100 Darlo fans at every game, which, looking at some clubs averages, will double their crowd.

Just updated the tabular data for easier reading.
It makes for some interesting data.

We've always had a very good travelling support. Based on those averages I can see us outnumbering the home support in at least half our games, probably more.

Certain teams you wonder how they make any money to play players when you arrive and there's 20 people and a dog for home support.

Cammell Laird have been punching well above their weight but have a fantastic manager is Tony Sullivan who knows how to get the best out of his players.
Under performers have been Warrington and Curzon. Both were expected to be up there. Skem won't be missed. Horrible ground, horrible fans.

Jesus I remember going to macclesfield on a Tuesday night behind the goal in the belting rain and wind and it was a nothing game we couldn't go up or down and we still had at the least 350-400 there darlo have good support always have had, il be attempting to go to as many as possible, I think our fans have played a huge part this season and Im confident we will next year even at the further afield grounds.

I can count probably on one hand, maybe finger, the times Darlo have taken that many to a midweek away game outside of local ish games since the mid-90s, including a shitty Tuesday night in a monsoon at Accrington, when we maybe didn't have 50 there. That said, if we go up, and if we do as well in E1N as we have this season, I'd think there would still be a 3 figure away following for midweek games.

I think so. Next would probably be Farsley. Not sure how far Bridlington is but that would probably be the next nearest, or Goole though there's also a few in the Wakefield aread (Wakefield and the two Ossetts).
The rest all seem to be over in Lancashire/Manchester area. Furthest will probably be Cammel Laird in Birkenhead.

Harrogate will be the nearest, then probably Farsley(Leeds), then Bridlington, then Ossett's Town and Albion, Wakefield, possibly Clitheroe or Skem afrer that

It should be, but Harrogate's nearer than Bridlington though Harrogate Athletic are well down the table so games against Scarborough should be tougher anyway but, given our histories and the number of fans who would go, the Scarborough games would be the ones we'd all be marking off on our calendars as soon as the fixtures come out.
(Assuming we go up and Spennymoor don't go up... either on their own or in tandem with ourselves).
Actually it looks like Kendal might be dropping down to that division as well, so there's another one which would be relatively close.

Next season is definitely going to be better for me. Should get to many more Manchester / Leeds area games. I think the away support will be good but we won't be as big a pay day for everyone as this year I think the most important thing is that we should be making a comparatively large amount of revenue for this level which will hourly translate into a healthy back balance.

Would love you at Whitby in 2 years. We have/had FC United, Chester and Halifax big clubs with great support and attendances does us the world of good with our 250 averages. Hurry up the leagues. Then stay put a while

Really enjoyed my day out in Whitby last summer, cracking little club. Hopefully see you the season after next.
With regard to staying put, unless we get a solution to our ground situation, we could end up staying for a bit, unless we sort out an alternative, that's another story though, don't want to get into that and sidetrack this thread.
How are Whitby doing out of curiosity off the pitch? There was a few rumours going round earlier in the season that yourselves and Blyth were going to ask for a demotion to the Northern League due to the travelling costs you both have in the Evo Stick Premier.
I'm sure they were just rumours with no foundation, but would be a shame if you had to go down the route Durham went down last summer after all the work that has gone in to get yourselves further up the pyramid.

Can't speak for Blyth but ours was more of a threat to get gate figures up. Off the pitch we struggle with crap winters that take our big gates away. Eg FC Unites having to come on a Wednesday night. But all in all fairly well. A lot of fundraising goes on throughout the season and in close season.
Certainly wouldn't fancy the Northern League. Been following you guys' results all season and the forum. Seems some strange goings on around the league. Heard Spenny can play their season out whenever they fancy it? Sounds fair!!!
Anyway a true football fan to another Come on Darlo!!

Can't wait for Farsley my "other" team v Darlo.Should be a good crowd. No doubts who I'll be supporting though.
Hope Darlo fare better than Farsley. They won the N counties title easily and got to the play-offsin the Evostick Div1 last year but have struggled this time around and are mid table.
Skelmersdale have clobbered everyone this season so we need to emulate them.

Skem have been awesome. Saw them play this season and they play good football too. Can't go wrong. They join us in our league next year. But as long as Darlo beat Scarborough I'm a happy man!!!

Just looked at Salford's team photo and their players look like they've just come out of prison! It will be a better season for us exiles as the away games are nearer but are in some horrible parts of the country! I personally am looking forward to Scarborough away and if its at the start or end of the season maybe make a weekend of it?

According to InbredZone only 22 teams next season in the Evo1n. It's the prem that's going to 24 teams. As long as we're there I don't care.

Correct. 2 up from the Evo 1N with only 1 coming down from EvoPrem, Garforth relegated to NCEL = 20. Add in 1 each from NCEL, Northern League, NWCL = 23. One team will then switch across to the Evo D1 South to add to the team that is promoted from the Midland Alliance, to make 22 in each division.
Sounds complicated doesn't it

It does indeed ..... The Stockport, Barrow and Telford relegations will help to increase the "northern" sector, since all three will be in BSN next season. It will be interesting to see it all pan out after 8th May, but yeah only 22 teams (as now) in the Evostick North according to Non League Paper .... and only two up Skemmy and one other through playoffs and one down ... Garforth. Presumably Kendal will be relegated to join us and Eastwood will go to the Evostick South .... I still can't get my head round the 14 step 5 leagues feeding into 6 places in Step 4 though .......
