Who was there the last time
we kicked off a game to win a championship?
May 1991, I was in the little bit of terracing to the left of the west stand. Was usually in the tin shed but it was so chocca, couldn't get in.
22 years, blimey.

"At a meeting held at the Grammar School on Friday last - Mr Phillip Wood M.A., in the chair - it was resolved to form an Association Football Club for Darlington and neighbourhood. The opinions of those present were so unanimous as to the desirability of this step, that a committee was formed to complete the organisation of the club, and Mr Craven, 17, Garden Street, was appointed secretary pro tem." - The Northern Echo, Monday 23rd July 1883

I was on the South Terrace. I was eight, and I sat on my Dad's shoulders when Kevan Smith lifted the trophy.

Only if you're still capable of running off with the stewards on your heels, I'm certainly not.uncovered wrote:Tin shed for me. 22 years, holy bolony! Do u reckon it will be ok if I run onto the pitch this time?

I was in the East stand.
Can't quite believe it's 22 years ago. A lot changed since then.

East stand paddock for me, I can picture the Polam Lane end erupting when we scored, more worrying I was just shy of 15 years old!

Only if you count Ryan Kidd.
Re: Who was there the last time
You could probably throw Maddo in for one of the caretaker stints too.Makka Pakka wrote:I'll have a go at all the managers since from memory:

I was. South Terrace, next to the away fans, and I couldn't really see Kev Smith lift the trophy because TDK had already played the unbeatable younger brother card to nick the prime vantage point.

I was 20 when we won the 4th Division against Rochdale, was it Gray who scored the first with a penalty or did he get the second, was their with my g/f not with her now split up a few months later.
