Maybe not lost out but you've given the sniggering poolie turd behind it half a bar.

Think about it, players DON'T come on here and introduce themselves, those that do claim to be a player/staff member eg Dave Penney are sniffed out in no time.

New forum, new opportunity for purporting to be someone else in the middle of silly season.

All the best, I hope you can still play... If not you'll make a great goalkeeping coach no doubt and i'd welcome you back at Darlo if that is what you want to do.

Any inside info on who were after then?

When you say came on, do you mean to read (which I'd assume a lot of players would do anyway) or to actually post?

if you are Andy Oakes, there was somebody posted on the old board that I suspected might have been you, certainly seemed to know a lot about you, can't remember the name though, began with an "A" I think.

Anyhow, if you are Andy Oakes, I'd just like to wish you well in the future.

That is the one.

I didn't want to say anything at the time and look a c***, and you would have denied it anyway.

All the best Andy, cant remember you putting a foot wrong to much in the games and pulled off some brilliant saves, its just a shame youhad a horrible time with injuries (the story of Darlingtons last 2 seasons) otherwise you would of been number 1 all of last season

And if it wasn't for Houghton, you may have finished your playing career with a promotion campaign.

Thanks alot for the commitment and effort you put in your time at the club Andy. It must have been hard with the shoulder injuries you suffered but you pulled out some excellent performances at the end of last season. Good look for the future and I hope you will come back to be our new GK coach now Colly has left :D

Great, well good luck
If you don't mind me asking, what do you think of the 2 keepers for Darlo at present. Obviously, you may not no Knight but what can you tell us about Nick? Will he be trying to make the number 1 spot his this season?

Nick is a good keeper and a funny lad. he is young and need alot of support around him, i would play him. He kicks well and he comes for crosses. he need to get the anger in him

Just like to say thanks for all you did for us, I think last season was the best squad we've ever had, certainly since I started supporting the Darlo a few years ago!
I do wonder what the players felt after a defeat and certain members of the forum were slagging off everyone possible? Must be awful to read?

Anyway thanks for the fun times, and good luck in the future (and I agree with the others, you'd make a great keeping coach!)

thanks fairfield, the players that read the forum would tell the rest of the lads wot was sed on here, but i think it helps a player to read wot people are saying about them. fans have the wright to give there views and players have the chance to prove then wrong
